Discover Yerevan, the “Pink City” founded in 782 BC, known for its unique architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Visit the city’s highlights including Republic Square, Mashtots Avenue, Aram Khachaturian Opera and Ballet Theatre, Cascade Complex with views of Mount Ararat, and Mother Armenia Monument. In the evening, enjoy Yerevan Wine Days, Armenia’s largest wine event, featuring local wines, food, and live music. Note: Entrance is free; tastings are optional.

Visit Garni Temple, the only standing pagan temple in Armenia, dating back to the 1st century AD and overlooking the Azat River gorge. Continue to Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO-listed monastery partly carved into the rock, famous for its unique architecture and spiritual significance. Enjoy a traditional lavash baking masterclass in a local house, where you will prepare Armenia’s iconic bread in a tonir oven and taste it with local cheese. Drive to Lake Sevan, the “Pearl of Armenia,” and visit Sevanavank Monastery, offering beautiful views over the lake. Return to Yerevan.

The Cathedral of Etchmiadzin, founded in 303 AD, is the official residence of the Catholicos and the spiritual heart of the Armenian Apostolic Church. As one of the oldest Christian cathedrals in the world, it stands as a powerful symbol of Armenia’s faith, identity, and rich religious heritage.

Next, visit the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral.
