Note:

After being closed almost 3 years in the end of 2019, now Borobudur temple is opened for climbing up to the top but with very limited quota.

Only a lucky person who gets the special ticket for climbing up.

If you don't get the special ticket, you can buy the regular ticket just to walk surrounding the temple.

Especially on Monday, the main temple of Borobudur and Prambanan is closed. People are only allowed to see the main temple from the yard.''

What To Expect

Itinerary: - Sunrise at Borobudur Temple. Visiting a UNESCO site, the biggest Buddhist temple in the world - Prambanan Temple Tour: Visiting a UNESCO site, the most beautiful Hindus temple in the world. Note: After being closed almost 3 years in the end of 2019, now sunrise at Borobudur temple is very limited quota, 100 persons per hour. Only a lucky person who gets the special ticket for climbing up. I recommend you to book the tour as earlier as possible. If you are not lucky to get Temple Structure ticket, you are still possible to visit Borobudur temple by buying Ground Temple ticket on the spot. Especially on Monday, the main temple of Prambanan is closed. People will just be allowed to see the main temple far away from the yard. I highly recommend you not to have a flight in the same day with the tour because for both temples it takes full day tour, started in the morning from Yogyakarta city and finished in afternoon. Please give your correct WhatsApp number when you book the tour. It's important.

Wahyu was very helpful. All information and itinerary was communicated via WhatsApp beforehand, so I clearly know what the trip will be like. My driver Ilham is awesome. I enjoyed much talking with him and sharing lots of information, thoughts and stories further during the long drive. The tour itself was great too. Visiting these historic places was a dream come true to me.

Tips: 1) Setumbu hill sunrise worth going if the sky is clear. Most of the time, it is 50%-50% chance. If given a choice, i would still go Setumbu hill but like 7am for photo taking. 2) Borobudor - if budget allow, to opts to go to the top to get all those best photos (once in a lifetime opportunity) 3) You can get both ticket parabanan and borobudor at borobudor. Wahyu and team are recommended for the communication. Please ensure you are texting Wahyu one day before so he will forward you the driver information and driver will contact you directly. After the 3 attraction, driver will recommend lunch location which is surprisingly good. Affordable lunch. We requested for hotel breakfast to be packed at 3am, so we just needed lunch. There are place to have breakfast in borobudor if you needed one.

Had a great day with my driver, Narto. The organisation ahead of the day with Wahyu via WhatsApp was quick, flexible and very easy. Narto was on time to pick me up at 3.30 am from my hotel and made sure I had all I needed throughout the day. Thank you both for the lovely day at the temples! 🙏🏻

Wahyu arranged our tours with Narto who was very patient and accommodating for the 3 days we toured around Yogyakarta. We had a very nice and relaxed time. It was really nice being able to control our own day but to also have Wahyu and Naruto’s recommendations.
