Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Start early to beat the crowds and ascend the Bailong Elevator—the world’s tallest outdoor lift—to the summit. Explore the towering sandstone pillars that served as the real-life inspiration for the floating peaks in Avatar. Conclude your morning with a serene walk along the Golden Whip Stream, wandering through a peaceful canyon beneath majestic cliffs.
Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge

5.00We holiday genie.com recently had the pleasure to take a tour to Zhangjiajie where we had one of the most amazing experiences. Everything in our tour was way above our expectations and especially the fact that we were able to get Halal meals on the trip. The beautiful views of the Avatar mountains and the breathtaking adventure at the glass bridge made it worth while. The guide was so helpful and informative, carefully explaining the rich history and it was a plus point that he knew English, it made communication way easier. The whole trip felt special something that we see in the movies and i thoroughly look forward to visit again with our group truly one of a kind

5.00Last November (2025), I had the chance to visit Zhangjiajie in China, and it was one of the most unforgettable travel experiences I have ever had. The scenery there is truly breathtaking. The famous sandstone pillars rising from the mist look just like the floating mountains from the movie Avatar. Seeing them in real life felt almost unreal. The weather in November was cool and comfortable, which made hiking and exploring the national park very enjoyable. One of the best things about visiting during this time was that it was less crowded compared to peak tourist seasons. This allowed me to take my time and enjoy the stunning views peacefully. Some of the highlights of my trip included visiting Yuanjiajie, where the famous Avatar Hallelujah Mountain is located, walking across the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, and taking the cable car up Tianmen Mountain. The views from Tianmen Mountain were spectacular, especially the famous Heaven’s Gate and the winding mountain road with 99 bends. Another beautiful part of the experience was the morning mist that surrounded the mountains. Sometimes the fog would slowly move through the pillars, creating a magical atmosphere that made the landscape look like a dream. Overall, my Zhangjiajie trip in November 2025 was amazing. The combination of unique landscapes, fresh mountain air, and peaceful scenery made it a perfect adventure. I would highly recommend Zhangjiajie to anyone who loves nature, photography, and exploring extraordinary places.
