Zhujiajiao Ancient Town

Your local friendly driver will pick up at your place in Shanghai at your preferred time. Hop onto the clean, air-conditioned car, sit back and enjoy a comfortable ride to Zhujiajiao water town, about 50km from city center. Upon arrival, you will start to explore the town on your own(No private guide included) with ease and leisure. Walk cross the highest stone arched bridge, stroll along the old alley streets full of interesting arts, crafts, street food or choose to take a relaxing gondola ride while appreciate the charming of the “Oriental Venice”. Your driver will patiently wait for you while you are visiting the town. After the wonderful visit, enjoy a nice ride to Shanghai with convenient drop off at your place in Shanghai. Your driver is with basic English skills but he/she will be well informed about the pick-up and drop off details. A local English-speaking assistant is available on the phone to assist before or during the transfers if needed.

Our guide/ driver was Charles (Ah Wen) and he was absolutely wonderful. He was patient and pleasant. We had an elderly family member who could not walk as fast. Charles was understanding and he also took the time and efforts to provide a great experience for us. Highly recommended! The place was also not so crowded at some areas, even though it was a Sat. We also had a good time having lunch at a water-edge restaurant.

The booking experience was easy, and contact person reached out to us timely. The driver was on time on the day and we chat on local cultures and food places. He did well to entertain us throughout and everything was arranged seamlessly. However, it was a rainy day, the town was quite empty with only pockets of people with rather few opened shops. Will be great to have crowds, and more shops opened on a sunny day.

Excellent way to get to this water town which is about a 1.5 hour drive from Shanghai. Great communication by the tour operator. Driver was courteous and spoke good English. He showed and explained us the city map when we got there and let us decide how many hours we’d like to explore the city before meeting back at the designated location. I recommend this tour!

Best experience, timely information was available. Driver spoke very good English and that was plus point, starting from booking , execution , meeting ping everything was seamless. Driver also helped me to get change so I can board boat , loved the interaction. Highly recommend to everyone, this trip us must do if you have half a day to spare.
