Booking Process and Payment Options

Welcome to TourFinder! This guide will walk you through the process of booking a tour, filling out your information, and managing your payment status using our intuitive booking system.

1. Selecting Your Tour Options When you find a tour you like, you'll be presented with various inventory options to choose from. Select your preferred date, time, and package type. You may also need to specify meeting points or pick-up locations.

2. Providing Booking Information Next, you will be taken to the Booking Information page. Here you must provide:

  • The total number of attendees.
  • Primary contact information.
  • Additional attendee details (if required by the operator). If you have a discount voucher, you can apply it at this stage before proceeding.

3. The Checkout & Payment Process Once your details are entered, you will move to the Checkout section. Depending on the tour operator's policy, you may be required to:

  • Pay the full amount immediately.
  • Pay a deposit upfront to secure your spot.
  • Send a booking request that requires the operator's confirmation before payment is captured.

4. Tracking Your Booking Status (The Stepper) After placing your request or payment, you can track the lifecycle of your booking through the progress tracker (Stepper) on your booking details page. Common statuses include:

  • Deposit Made / Completed: You've successfully paid the initial deposit.
  • Pending Confirmation: The operator is reviewing your booking request.
  • Confirmed by Operator: Your spot is locked in!
  • Request / Confirm Payment: You may need to complete the remaining balance.
  • Payment Completed: All fees are settled.
  • Payment / Deposit Failed: An issue occurred with your card. You'll be prompted to update your payment method.
  • Cancelled / Refunded: If you or the operator cancels the tour, the status will update, and refund details will be shown based on the cancellation policy.
