His extensive knowledge of Sri Lanka’s culture, history, and attractions added great value to our trip and made the experience even more enjoyable. Dushan was always punctual, flexible, and attentive to our wishes. He went above and beyond to ensure that we got the most out of our holiday.   Dushan and Nuwan were assigned to our family and we had the best guided experience that we have had so far in our travels to various places. Both Dushan and Nuwan were very friendly and cooperative in accomodating all our requirements. They were very supportive and their availability to help anytime was impeccable. Thanks to both of them for giving us a memorable travel experience.

  Our Sri Lanka trip from 21st May to 28th May was truly memorable and enjoyable for all 13 of us. Everything was organized very smoothly, and the schedule was planned in a way that allowed us to cover all the important places without any stress. Big thanks to our tour guide Dushan for being extremely supportive and approachable throughout the trip. He made sure all our needs were taken care of and was always ready to help whenever required. We really appreciated the way he explained the history and significance of the places we visited. His friendly nature and professionalism made the journey even better. A special thanks also to our driver Nuwan, who made us feel safe and comfortable during the entire tour. He was very patient, punctual, and never hurried us at any point. Both Dushan and Nuwan put in extra effort to make sure we had a great experience. Really thankful to the whole team for the excellent hospitality and coordination. We had a wonderful time and would happily travel with Dushan and Nuwan again in the future.

  We travelled to Srilanka as a group of 13 and had an amazing experience. The itinerary was well planned and all the places were covered. Had a great experience with our tour guide Dushan who accommodated all our requests and always available. He gave a background for all the places visited, was polite and friendly. The hospitality was commendable. I will chose Dushan again for another trip. Special mention of our driver Nuwan who drove super well and never rushed us. They were always on time and provided all kind of support. The driver and the tour guide went over and above their jobs. Kudos to the team!

  Had an amazing experience traveling with Mahaweli! The entire trip was smooth, memorable, and beautifully organized. A special mention to our tour coordinator Dushan, who was available anytime on call and made sure everything was taken care of perfectly. His support and coordination truly made the trip stress-free and enjoyable. Also, huge appreciation for our driver Nuwan. Though he is very young, his driving skills are absolutely phenomenal. He always had a smiling face, remained calm throughout the journey, and never once looked tired or irritated. His professionalism and positive attitude made us feel safe and comfortable at all times. Thank you, Mahaweli, for such wonderful memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-organized and pleasant travel experience!

  I had a great time visiting Sri Lanka. With the help of Mahaweli tours I got to see the beautiful places in Sri Lanka. A special thanks to my guide Pradeep who showed ande made the trip so much better. He was very flexible and always on time. He also made sure I always were safe and had a good time.

  A beautiful island with plenty of greenery and diverse attractions. The residents are very friendly, and one always receives help. We booked through FlamingoVacation and had a personal guide who took us to various places and hotels. He promptly fulfilled any special requests or needs. Of course, such a package tour also includes visits to souvenir shops, silk stores, tea factories, etc., but it was not a problem if one did not want to buy anything. Our guide was very friendly, and in the end, we almost became emotional during the farewell. The selection of hotels can certainly be reconsidered. There were good ones, but also some that were "run-down" or worn out. We will evaluate that separately on TripAdvisor. Considering everything, the route was really good, although the safari in Yala National Park was quite exhausting. Personally, we could have done without the 3-4 wild animals we saw. The food was as varied as the hotels. There was either a buffet or menus. Unfortunately, what one sees a lot while traveling and everywhere are heaps of trash and plastic at the roadside and in almost every corner. A shame for this outstanding nature.

  We – a family of four with two boys aged 4 and 5 – were on a round trip in Sri Lanka in May 2026 and had incredible luck with our driver "Amila." From the very first day, Amila felt like a part of our family. His English skills are excellent, and the communication was always relaxed, understandable, and warm-hearted. What particularly impressed us: Amila tailored the entire tour completely to us and our kids. Nothing was rigidly planned. If we wanted to stay longer in one place or spontaneously made a shopping stop, it was no problem for him – on the contrary, he always made an effort to fulfill our wishes. At the wheel, we felt safe at all times. Amila drives calmly, predictably, and very responsibly. Especially for our little boys, he was a great support. He took loving care of them, watched over them, and always ensured that they had fun and felt comfortable. And on top of that, he explained so much to us during the drive, told stories, and patiently answered all our questions. This way, we truly got to know the land and its people. Conclusion: Without Amila, this trip would have been only half as enjoyable. Absolutely recommendable for all families who want to experience Sri Lanka in a relaxed and personal way!   Our Sri Lanka trip as a couple was a truly wonderful experience and we can heartily recommend it. We booked about flamingo holidays and from the beginning the contact was super friendly and uncomplicated. Although there were short-term problems with our originally planned flight via Doha, it was taken care of directly and a safe alternative via another city was organized for a small extra charge. We were very happy about that, because you noticed how much effort was put into it. The partner Mahaweli Tours in Sri Lanka was also just great. Our guide Isuru picked us up at the airport with a brand new car and made us feel in good hands from the first moment. He was always available, incredibly attentive and fulfilled every wish. His dealings with my mom, who is already a little older, were particularly affectionate. This also allowed me to enjoy the trip in a relaxed way. We had beautiful hotels with fantastic views, great activities and overall a perfectly organized round trip. Even if something did not go quite optimally, we could always contact Isuru, Mahaweli Tours or Flamingo holiday and within a few hours we were helped directly. This has made us feel very safe and good. Overall, everything was very transparent, including the costs, and we felt completely comfortable throughout the trip.
