  We had a tailored tour including the spectacular mirror lake, Gua Tempurung, Chinese cave paintings and Buddhist temple cave. John was our guide and driver and was knowledgeable, approachable and a safe driver.

  This tour cost me almost 300 dollars! I think they took advantage of me because I was traveling alone Everywhere we went was free entrance. And I had to pay for my own breakfast, lunch and water! John was the best tour guide ever. He knows so much about everything but for the money I paid, it was not worth it.

  This was a very enjoyable and interesting tour. As per the other reviews, John is a great guide who was extremely professional and very pleasant and knowledgeable about the history and politics of Ipoh and Malaysia. Highly recommended!

  Excellent tour with John. Our guide was prompt, informative and helpful. The first half was a walking tour of downtown, including government buildings, squares and parks, but also the historic center with Concubine Lanes and historic shop houses. We also stopped for a visit to the birthplace of a local herbal tea shop that over the years evolved into a well known Hovid pharmaceutical company. John was a fountain of detailed information and anecdotes related to history of every building, establishment and back alley in our path. After a tasty lunch at a local restaurant we continued by car to cave temples in the outskirts of the city. I might addd that caves were “flat” and physically not challenging even for older tourists. The tour started at 8:30 in the morning and ended around 4:30pm, which left plenty of time for other activities on our schedule. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this activity.

  Dev gave us a great day sightseeing in Ipoh. He is flexible and intuitive in meeting the interests of clients. We genuinely feel we saw Ipoh as guests of Dev, not simply tourist clients.

  We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Dev. After a rough start (we slept in and didn’t hear our alarm — Dev was so nice to wait on us for 2 hrs!!!), we visited a pomelo farm, cave temples, Kellie’s Castle, the old town of Ipoh (really enjoyed a stop to try the famous Ipoh’s white coffee). He explained a lot about Malaysian culture and customs. Thank you Dev we will always remember you ❤️
