• Two delightful days of discovery and learning in Kakadu.

  My two adult children and I had the best time on the 2-day Kakadu-Guluyambi. We learned and discovered so much about the fascinating Kakadu landscape, rock paintings, peoples, flora and fauna. We had quite a varied and informative itinerary, whetting our appetites for repeat and more lengthy visits. Mattia, our excellent guide, is extremely knowledgeable, respectful, patient, and a truly kind and caring person, with a wealth of experience. He could answer all of our voluminous questions, and also give us plenty of time to talk amongst ourselves, catching up on this special occasion of being together, as we live in different states. The atmosphere with Mattia was always very, very pleasant, and he was respectful of my ageing limitations, without making me feel a drag on the itinerary. Our accommodation and meals in Cooinda were delightful- we wished we could have spent another night there. We were mesmerised by the vista from our helicopter flight, as that part of Australia is vast, and much wetter and greener than we had understood. We would love to do other tours with Mattia. We recommend Mattia and this tour most highly!

  As a former photographer, I look at landscapes, lighting, and timing with a very critical eye. Our 2-day tour of Kakadu with Mattia Benelli from NT Top Adventures was flawless. Mattia has an incredible understanding of the park's rhythm, positioning us at the perfect spots to witness mind-blowing wildlife and jaw-dropping scenery. We saw absolutely everything we hoped for and more. Mattia’s professionalism, deep knowledge, and impeccable timing made this a bucket-list experience. • 2 busy days in Kakadu NP

  Our tour was the one billed as 2 Day Kakadu – Guluyambi booked directly with the operator. Booking the tour, which included an overnight at the Crocodile Hotel in the NP itself and all expenses except dinner at the hotel, was easy. Our many questions before and after booking were answered very swiftly. Pickup and drop off at our hotels in Darwin worked well. What is actually included in your tour depends on the weather and the season. Our tour included among other things the Jumping Crocodiles cruise, the Yellow Water cruise, bird-watching at Fogg Damm and the Ubirr Art and Lookout walk. So, not only did we see the wetlands, but also some of the hillier lands which have been incorporated in the Kakadu NP in recent years, contain important rock art and overlook the vast and distant Arnhem territory. It was a private tour for a family of three in a comfortable SUV, which would have been next to impossible to complete on our own. It was all in all a wonderful experience - for which we had come half way round the world - all packed into two busy days. Our guide and driver Mattia Morelli has lived in the Northern Territory for many years, knows the NP very well and has a deep knowledge and love for the culture of the first land owners. He was always courteous and flexible, and very safe at the wheel. The NT had just been through a lengthy rainy season, so everything was very fresh and green. Many of the tour’s features, including the cruises, were just re-opening after the floods. Highlights for us were the magical late afternoon and sundown Yellow Water cruise, superbly organised by experienced operators, and Fogg Damm which is a fine place to see close up a wide variety of Kakadu birdlife. Mattia also took the trouble to explain the sometimes complex and ancient cultural traditions and art of the local indigenous people in an easily understandable way. This tour and the tour operator NT Top Adventures come highly recommended.

  Mattia you are a great and beautiful person who gave us many emotions: it was a wonderful tour in which you also made us discover extra program places that were real pearls, unobtainable without a guide with your knowledge of the territory. The professionalism and seriousness demonstrated have meant that in the 5 days of tour we were able to know and appreciate the parks visited. We recommend everyone, even retirees like me, to rely on you to experience the same intense emotions we experienced.

  This was one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. Mattia was a great all round guy, who was extremely knowledgeable about the local region, Kakadu and beyond. Very insightful experience no matter the spot, well thought out tour. I honestly can’t thank Mattia enough for his hospitality and good nature. • So many Memories Made on this Incredible Tour

  Simply superb! The wildlife, scenery, the sense of adventure and the seamlessly planned experience was second to none! Mattia is hugely knowledgeable, very considerate and a true gentleman. The places we visited, animals we saw and memories made were just amazing! This is a brilliant time of the year to do Kakadu - Hot yes but with the wonders of sunscreen, hats, cold water and aircon nothing was too extreme. When I say it felt like a private tour I mean it - at most places we were the only ones there, even in the Crocodile Hotel! Mattia had everything planned meticulously and even managed to secure access to a closed (for the season) UNESCO site so we literally had the place to ourselves!!! He even packed cold drinks and snacks which our 10 year old thought was the bees knees!
