Torre del Pulcinella
モンテプルチアーノのプルチネッラ塔の伝説によると、これはナポリ出身の司教によってここに運ばれましたが、村の歴史にはこのような人物は存在しなかったため、司祭であった可能性が高いです。実際、1524 年に、シエナの「マンジャ」に触発された彫像がモンテプルチャーノの時計塔に設置され、時を刻む役割を果たしましたが、劣化のため、1680 年に最初の修復が行われました。その際、おそらくナポリの司祭 (またはいずれにせよ後援者) の提案により、オートマトンはプルチネッラの色で覆われていました。しかし、一部の人によると、このキャラクターは劇場へのオマージュとして選ばれました。
Montepulciano

5.00We cannot recommend this guide more highly. She was enthusiastic about Montepulciano and really followed our lead on what we were interested in. She is warm and knows the city well, giving us a great sense of what it would be like to be there. She helped us to find a great lunch spot after the tour, too. Excellent guide and perfect English skills as well.

Her knowledge of, and love for, Montepulciano were clearly evident and her passion easily transferred to us. Montepulciano is a fascinating, beautiful town with so much history and the warmest, most welcoming people. Taking a tour is essentially to learn about this wonderful place. I highly recommend this tour for everyone who visits.
