4.00This was a fun ghost walk, but not exactly what we expected. There are less historic stories and more related to the last 100 years. The price wasn’t bad, but the longer tour (2 hours) was more due to walking rather than extended story time. John was our tour guide. He did an excellent job and was very personable!

3.00It was good but a bit too long. Some of it was interesting but I was not convinced that all was true. He kept saying that we will not get these stories anywhere else because the town “hides the truth” which led me to believe some of the material was fabricated. Only a few stops out of a 2 1/2 hour tour had anything to do with the location where we were. Really nice guy and is into the material but I could have done without the very cold walk with no rhyme nor reason as why we stopped for so long where we did. He talked mostly about serial killers not even in the town.

2.00Our tour guide had a potty mouth (f this and f-that) throughout the tour. Felt that facts were exaggerated. Helen does not report any deaths? Yet there is a plaque near the Presbyterian church commemorating someone who is now dead I have been on ghost tours in Charleston, Savannah , and Gatlinburg. This was the worst one. Don’t waste your money. There are no ghosts in Helen!

1.00So, we booked this a month ago. Got there today about 6:45 and no one showed up called and texted the number provided. No answer went straight to voicemail and no answer to the text. Called the customer service number and she informed me that she may not be able to give me a refund because she had to confirm that they didn’t showed up. I tried to explain to her that I was exactly where I should be exactly where they requested we show up and after I asked if we could reschedule she said oh you want to book again. I said no I do not want to pay again. I want to go on the tour now. She was not from the US and very confused. After a brief exchange where I was very frustrated. I told her to refund my money. She said she had to check with the local guide and make sure they weren’t there. I was like I can take a photo of where I am to prove to you that they are not here!! I am beyond angry and annoyed at this!

2.00We were excited about taking the ghost tour in Helen. GA. The tickets were pricey but thought it would be a great family activity . We walked all thru, very hot & crowded ) town made a few stops only to be shown pictures instead of actual locations shown on the trip advisory ad. Our guide was super nice, but lacked experience & the price was way too high for the tour. Was supposed to be 2 hours we were done in 90 mins actually relieved .we ended up under a bar in the basement , a pipe was leaking from a toilet above . Not what we imagined as a basement , more like a dirty crawl space . They need a small trolley for the tour. We didn’t even see or hear about some of the items listed . Over all not pleased . I feel bad making this review, but the money was not well Spent . And our entire group was disappointed . 👻
