  Tons of fun! Went on the guided ride with my wife and had a great time. Started off with some general mountain bike riding tips which was great as this was new to us. Went through several sections of increasing intensity and even broke off for a short harder section with great opportunities for getting both wheels off the ground and serious speed. We’re already talking about when we can do it again.

  My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Sean as our guide. Carvin’s Cove is beautiful, and Sean tailored the ride to our level of comfort and experience. He taught us how to ride safely and utilize the features of the bikes. We learned a lot and had a blast! Can’t wait to try it again!

  The trails we took were scenic and difficult for a beginner like me, just what I was looking for. I learnt alot of techniques on stability and control over decent and ascend sections of the trail which was good to have while practically testing it!

  I had an amazing MTB tour with Sean from Roanoke Mountain Adventures on Saturday morning. Sean took the time to call me before the ride to get an idea of my skill levels. I had originally planned to do a different guided ride, but based on what I told him he tailor fit a guided tour that far more suited to my riding abilities. I had a blast on this trip, and would highly recommend this to anyone heading up to this area who is unfamiliar with the local trail systems. They are HUGE and having a guide who can help you find the right trails, and give you advice on the best directions to ride them is a big help.   The 3-hour Guided Mountain Biking in the Blue Ridge Mountains tour with our guide Sean, made the mountain bike experience for my husband and I a safe and memorable adventure. The chosen trails were beautifully scenic. Sean was sensitive to my inexperience and did not challenge me beyond my comfort level. My husband extended his time with Sean as they traversed through more amazing and incredible terrain and scenery. From the minute we walked in the door, the RMA staff were professional, and fun. They made sure that we were outfitted with the appropriate safety gear that fit our riding levels. Their professional and positive energy from RMA is one reason that we are looking forward to returning for yet another tour.

  I had just bought a mountain bike a week before. I hadn't ridden a bike in over a decade and had never been on a mountain bike or ridden single track. I wanted to learn some MTB basics and background on the local trails. Sean provided precisely what I was looking for. He walked me through some of the differences between riding an MTB vs. a road bike, and we did some basic drills, but after that, we were quickly onto the trails. He worked with me at my skill level, and I never felt rushed or pushed too far out of my comfort zone. At the end of the ride, I came away with the confidence that I could do it again on my own and with ideas about what to work on and what trails to try next. Sean also answered all my questions about bike maintenance and upgrades. He was extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to share that knowledge with me. I can't recommend Sean and RMA enough if you're getting started with mountain biking or looking to learn the local trails.
