  This is a great activity but be warned about the quirks of it which do detract from it to some degree. The Great: Claudio was our guide and he was fabulous. I would raft with him again anywhere. He knows what he is doing and he was the perfect mix of very nice, and firm when needed, to keep everyone safe. Finn was a great tour leader. He also knows what he is doing and how to lead and take care of a group of primarily beginners. The Good: It was about an hour or so on the river and it was fun for the time we were on the raft. The Not So Good: Near the end of the run, there is a waterfall. They make everyone get out of the boats and hike 5 minutes in slippery mud around the waterfall, then get back in the boats for 2 more rapids. Can that be helped? Probably not, but it's not ideal either. At the end, people have to carry rafts up a hill, another added hike, though not a muddy one. This is not an activity for out-of-shape people. The Bad: Outdoor Norway peppered us with multiple messages to sign the waiver before we got there, which we did, but still got messages about it. Then when we got there, they asked if we signed the waiver. We said "yes" and they never checked it or had any record of it. The waiver doesn't matter. They provided us with no water for a 3-hour activity. There is no water for purchase. Make sure you bring your own with you on the van. Personal belongings are left in cubbies on-site. Safe? Your call but you can't take them with you. Nothing in the listing or instructions recommends wearing a bathing suit which you will want when you put the wet suit over you.

  Very exciting and amusing experience, and we felt very safe being led by the instructor Finn, who is a very professional and experienced guide. We would definitely do it again and suggest it to other people.

• Great fun on Raundal river

  August 24th 2025 we went rafting on Raundal river. Because lack of rain in the past period, the water level was low. Outdoor Norway therefore used smaller rafts with fewer people (4 pax + guide) per raft. Starting point is about 25 minutes from Voss. Nice international group and two great guides, Mohan and Anup. Although water was lover than normal, there were some tough passages (through the eyes of a first time rafter anyway). Mohan and Anup leaded us during 2 hours to the end point, with lots of patience and humor. A nice pastime in a wonderful setting.

  Great experience! The person in charge took care not to separate any group or family! Our guide Anup was great, knew how to combine with the expectations of all! He was very professional! Very fun moment that will keep beautiful memories! Thank you very much for the photos!

  We went as a family, ages 20-62 and had a great time. The river was beautiful and our guide Mohan was fantastic! He was very experienced and made sure we were all safe and having fun. I had some prior back pain that made bouncing difficult and he was able to accommodate it effortlessly. Highly recommend!!!

  Super fun! Clear instructions. Together with the children (16, 14 and 12) one of our best memories of Norway. Thanks to Finn for the professional guidance! It was exciting but we never felt unsafe.

  This was such a great experience! My friend and I were nervous about it at first. It was cold, rainy, and windy. However, the wetsuits they provided us kept us warm even after going into the water multiple times. It was so fun! The rapids were great and our guide, Mohan, made it even better.
