  Please be ready early. Maybe 10 minutes before the agreed pick up time, it would be best if you were already ready and waiting to be picked up. We were part of a small group. The tour provider will pick up everybody from different (but nearby) hotels/pick up points. You get to meet new people which is very fun! Once everybody is gathered, they will brief you and lend some gear if you need it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell that he loves nature very much! We followed the sound of a woodpecker and were lucky enough to see it in action. The whole trip was very enjoyable, organized, and informative. We saw a group of deer, snow prints of various animals, birds, and the drift ice coming in from the sea. It was all very lovely!

  Thanks Yumi for guiding us in the forest today! She is very enthusiastic and we had a very great time. The scenery is very beautiful and it was fantastic to walk in the forest. We learnt a lot of the forest today, and luckily we saw a male deer and some footprints of bears.

  We booked the private snowshoeing tour in Shiretoko National Park, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. From the start, our guide Mako was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and surroundings—we learned so much while completely immersed in nature. The scenery was so serene. But what made this tour truly magical was that my fiancé proposed during the hike. It was a beautiful, intimate moment in the most beautiful setting. Our guide handled it with such grace, giving us space to enjoy the moment while also helping us capture a few photos we’ll cherish forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. • First snowshoe hike

  Unfortunately, we didn't meet any rare wildlife, but we managed to capture some of the best videos ever. A foreigner came on the same tour and listened to the guide's easy-to-understand and concise English explanation and both me and my son studied. It was snowing a little bit, but I was very glad to participate. I think it's great to be able to borrow various things and go empty-handed. I was really lucky to find and book two days before the tour.

  The trek was fantastic! Mark the tour guide was the best, so informative and very patient. The walk wasn’t too challenging. I definitely recommend making the trip up north and going on the tour!!

  The view was amazing and our tour guide, Sannigo, was very knowledgeable and explained about the shireitoko ecosystem. We managed to see a lot of deers and had fun walking using the snow shoes.
