  We had an amazing 3 night tour with Orangutan Applause. It has to be one of the best things we have done in Asia and that says a lot having lived in the region for more than 15 years. There are great opportunities to see orangutans, macaques, languar monkeys, crocodiles, hornbills and various birds and other wildlife. The guide Jordan and the crew Isu, Oni and Emmen (apologies for bad spelling) were wonderful and we were made to feel like royalty having all these people looking after us the whole time. I don't think we will need to eat again for a week. I would highly recommend the program to anyone who loves wildlife, nature, and adventure. A real bucket list experience.   Truly a one of a kind experience. Incredible animal sightings, with the comfort of a well kept boat. The crew was truly lovely, with an amazing chef that accommodated to food intolerances, and very knowledgable and kind guide!   I have worked in the travel industry for more than 30 years, and this was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. If you are looking for an immersive and deeply rewarding tour, you can trust Orangutan Applause to deliver an outstanding experience. Our 3-night, 4-day tour exceeded our expectations on so many levels. Our guide was amazing, and the boat, crew, food, and overall organisation were all exceptional. Communication with Dessy (owner) via WhatsApp was personal, warm, and friendly. The 3D4N tour gives you time to see more of the rainforest ecosystem and appreciate the challenges facing the critically endangered species that inhabit this special place. The boat setup is fantastic. It has clean drinking water (used for food preparation too), solar panels for charging your phone/camera, a comfortable bed and plenty of room to spread out. You have your own private bathroom. The wet room has a flush toilet and a gas-heated shower.   One of the most amazing travel experiences we have ever had. Fera was a brilliant, highly knowledgeable guide who made the trip everything we could have hoped for. The crew were amazing, the food was excellent and the boat was very comfortable. The whole experience was so rewarding and relaxing.

  Arif the owner was great. He got in touch as soon as we'd booked to find out our flights, dietary requirements etc..and when our flight was cancelled, he was very accommodating and managed to shift things around to take account of our delayed arrival. The guide Nikita was a real sweetie, full of enthusiasm. We had a full schedule over the 3 days and 3 nights but every moment was priceless. The accommodation is fairly basic but fine. The food was amazing and plenteous from the talented Ibah. The boat was steered by the masterly Isul and Hendrik kept the boat slick and span for the duration of the trip.   Amazing experience, great crew, delicious food, clean spacious boat. We had 4D3N package for 2. Nothing was a problem, communication was smooth, transfers, pick up and drop off planned according to our flights. Overall top tier experience, highly recommended.

  What about the stay except that everything was perfectly organized and that all the team members were great. Our guide Theo struggled to find animals, gave us lots of information about local wildlife and culture. Our cooker was a real cordon bleu and everything was excellent, when to the captain and his assistant they were the masters of the maneuver and ensured us a safe stay.   Extraordinary! By far one of the best experiences I have had on a holiday and was so upset to leave. I was a little worried booking direct as everything was done through sporadic WhatsApp messages with a bank transfer paid direct however when you arrive at the airport their professionalism takes over and all your worldly worries are whisked away for duration you are with them. The crew and guide make you feel so special, ensuring all your needs are met before you even think about them. The food Julia cooked up was amazing although I did have to tell her 'no more food' as I had never been fed quite so much. My guide for the 3 days Ghu (not sure of his whole name) was an amazing lad, so knowledgeable and willing to share personal experiences which enhanced the whole trip. Between Ghu and the crew we saw so many wild Orangutan, probiscus monkeys, long tails and even silver langhur. Birds and crocodiles were plentyful. This may not be the cheapest experience you will do but it is truly worth every penny and will live on in my memories forever.

  WOW! What can I say. Perfect in every way. I cried tears of joy. This tour is so well put together- we saw over 40 orangutans over the 4 days at the feeding stations but also in the trees during our river cruise. This trip was made by our guide Jeff. He was extraordinary. He is so intelligent and has so much knowledge about the jungle and the orungutans. He has incredible eyesight and could spot a bird from a way away. He knows all the cries... we saw Hornbills, a very rare storm stork, babblers, dollarbirds, sunbirds, bulbuls, kingfishers (many many kingfishers!), an owl, hawk, teller birds, and more. It was a birders paradise. I cannot recommend Jeff more highly. What a wonderful guide. Other incredible moments were canoeing down a river and a troop of proboscis monkeys jumped through the jungle beside us. We had expected to slum it in the jungle. We were treated like kings and queens. The food (Tarmi - what a cook) was exceptional. Varied, all vegetarian for us. We tried local delicacies, interesting fruits we'd never had before and the food kept coming. I ate so much! The klotok was enormous, clean, open and romantic. We had candle lit dinners, sat out on the viewing deck looking at animals as we sailed past and lay on the deck looking up at the most incredible stars. Our captain Anung and deck hand Gilang looked after us so well. They were also keen animal spotters and Crocodile Hunter Gilang spotted 2 crocs in the water! It was honestly the greatest 4 days of our lives. We've waited a long time to see orungutans in the wild. It was my partners dream since he was a little boy. And this exceeded our expectations in every way. Thanks to to the exceptional ground staff making it so easy.
