  We came from Russia, found the kids online and at our own risk booked two tours at once. First we were in Danakil. Then they went to Omo to see the tribes. The guide and driver were super, caring for us constantly asking if everything was ok, the car was great, told interesting stories. We highly recommend them all! Book boldly)

  We had an incredible 4-day Omo Valley trip with Danakil Depression Tours and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our journey in Ethiopia. Everything was very well organized from the beginning until the end, and the whole team made us feel comfortable and welcome throughout the trip. Our guide Kia was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always happy to explain the culture and traditions of the different tribes we visited. He made sure we understood the history and lifestyle of each community, which made the experience much more meaningful. His passion and patience really made a difference. A special thanks also goes to our driver Thomas. The roads in Omo Valley can be long and challenging, but Thomas was an amazing driver — professional, careful, and always making us feel safe. He was also very friendly and always had a smile on his face, which added to the positive atmosphere of the trip. During the tour we had unforgettable experiences visiting different tribes and seeing the unique traditions and cultures of the Omo Valley. Every day brought something new and exciting. It felt authentic and gave us a deeper understanding of Ethiopia’s incredible diversity. Kia and Thomas were truly a great team and worked together perfectly to make our trip smooth and memorable.   We reached out to Danakil tours for arranging tours and to design an itinerary for Ethiopia for my parents and in-laws. We really appreciate the effort they took to make sure all our requests were considered and accommodated. Everything was planned very well, and they had a great experience. The drivers at melaku were very punctual and helpful. They were very thorough and kept us all up to date with the pick up and drop time with the pictures. I will surely consider Danakil tours for our future travels.

  We just finiahed a fantastic trip - our guide, Abe, was absolutely helpful in providing us with a warm and in-depth experience in the four tribes. We felt well taken care of, both on the journey and at the hotel - the Buska Hotel that the travel agency recommended was truly wonderful because of its cozy environment, clean room and thoughtful service. The tour left us feeling relaxed, particularly for the flexible schedule. Abe also share many interesting aspects of local life. The driver and guide were always punctual, yet they never pressured us when we wanted to linger in the villages.   We did a 4-day Omo Valley tour, and it was an amazing experience. Our guide, Abe, was very professional, always punctual, and knowledgeable about local life and culture. The tour was well organized, and everything ran smoothly. It was interesting to visit the tribes and learn about their life with a local guide. The atmosphere was friendly. The accommodation at Buska Lodge was nice, and it’s probably one of the best in Turmi.

We had the opportunity to visit several fascinating communities including the Hamer Tribe, Mursi Tribe, and Karo Tribe.
