  I knew I would enjoy this, and boy was I right! Mike took us from a scenic overview of the entire city all the way to the castle, dropping knowledge at every step.

  If you are fortunate enough to explore Edinburgh Castle with Alice, you have enjoyed an incredible experience with a true expert. From the meet on the Royal Mile, Alice guided us into the majestic gate, around the Keep, through structures and ended in a beautiful courtyard, a complete walk-through the site’s history. From B.C to Modern times, Alice provided key details to understand this impressive place through the ages. Our two-hours with Alice ended too soon; we will be looking for her next time we are in the area.

  I hope this is the right place to talk about the stellar job Gwen did on our tour. She dressed and spoke the part and was simply delightful and very good to answer questions and help me find a post box for my postcards. We did part of the tour on the Collette tours bus, and then she walked us down to the castle and filled us full of good information and recommendations. I don’t ever want to forget her.

  Susan was an excellent tour guide. She was knowledgeable and animated. You could tell how much she loved sharing her knowledge and country.   Claire shared so much about Scottish history, culture, politics—from ancient to present—and took us on a beautiful walk, mostly away from the large groups of tourists. Of course, the castle is going to be busy all the time, but she recommended what to see in the castle so we could maximize our time there. We followed her advice on how to spend our second day in Edinburgh (Charlotte Square, the Georgian House, Botanical Garden), which Claire based on our interests and were so happy we did. Worth every penny!

  Annette was so knowledgeable about all things Scotland. She spent a lot of time sharing her knowledge with us. We were so impressed with her, we didn't want the tour to end. Highly recommend this tour!

  Our guide, Marti, was FANTASTIC!!! He offered the perfect combination of history, humor and heritage! To start, he was kindly willing to meet us in the lobby of our hotel on last minute notice, rather than the suggested public meeting place as a starting point. In addition to giving us the literary & historical explanations of landmarks & architecture, he was also full of humorous anecdotes, restaurant recommendations and further sight seeing suggestions. He spoke slowly and clearly and was a lot easier to understand than many other Scottish guides we encountered during our trip. He was a delight!

  Panoramic view from the hill. Beautiful especially Edinburgh castle. If you have difficulty walking may not be the best option as it’s a 3hr tour and steps to climb on the way. Tour guide Robert was informative and knowledgeable about Scottish culture and history.

  Nice, friendly guide but very underwhelming tour. Very overpriced for what it is. Basically just walked around a little & told some stories many of which were written write on the buildings or plaques.
