  We booked through Safaris by Jon an Uganda based Safari company and had very specific criteria. Jon met ALL of our requests and exceeded our expectations. Never once did we feel unsafe visiting. The people of Uganda are amazing, kind and humble it was an amazing experience to meet each and every one of them. Jon's pricing for our 9 day luxury safari was well below price quotes we received from larger companies( companies out of the USA & Europe). I highly recommend both the Gorilla hike in Bewindi and the chimpanzee hike in Kibale Forest. A once in a lifetime experience. Our accommodations were spectacular: & Beyond Kitchwa Tempo, Masai Mara, Kenya Chimpundu Lodge, Kibale National Forest, Uganda Buhomo Lodge, Bwindi National Forest, Uganda

  I was travelling with a friend. This tour was one of the best I have ever done. The choice of accommodation was spot-on, great food, staff, comfort and surroundings. You can really get the best out of Uganda in 5 days. Our guide was Hillary, he was super competent, friendly and took individual requests into account. For example, he told the gorilla trekking rangers that we would like to be assigned to a family with a newborn, which is what happened ☺️ everything was great and tip top, highly recommended!

  This company is very professional. We ordered a 5-day Safari, and it was amazing. The program was full of interesting activities. Accommodation was comfortable, clean, and safe. Moreover, our guide was an excellent man, with a huge passion and experience. I recommend Safaris by Jon, as it is a high-quality safari for a reasonable price. 10/10

  Trekking Chimpanzees is a one of a kind adventure. Coolest and most awe inspiring experience. Safaris by Jon excelled in planning and orchestrating the event. He clearly has contacts everywhere and was able to make our experience the best possible. I can't imagine trekking chimpanzees with anyone else. Jon went out of his way to make sure we had the best accommodations and the best trekking. He made sure to fulfill our every wish and every need. Thanks, Jon!!!!

  We had unforgettable days in Uganda, thanks to the great company of Jon! From the first contact to planning the itinerary to saying goodbye, we were looked after warmly and reliably! We planned our tour individually and Jon fulfilled all our wishes. On request, various options were checked and we got valuable recommendations - so in the end the trip was perfectly personalized and even unexpected requests on the way have been fulfilled with a smile - at the end we felt like friends! Thanks to his knowledge, we were given valuable tips on when and where to go, and we have learnt a lot about Uganda, its wildlife and its history. Jon was really ambitious to get us enthusiastic about his country and its people - and he succeeded 100%, We opted for the fly-in option and in hindsight were very glad that we didn't have to do all the transfers by 4x4, but of course the overland route has the advantage that you get to see a lot more of the villages along the roads, so it's no wasted time if you opt for this way of travelling.... and Jon is a great driver who skillfully tries avoid the potholes. We are very grateful for this incredible experience and highly recommend "Safaris by Jon" to anyone looking for an exceptional safari experience at a very fair price in Uganda - the value for money is excellent!

  My partner and I did the budget 4 day 3 night gorilla and chimp trekking tour. Absolutely brilliant! We were exceptionally fortunate to have been on a safari with Safaris by Jon and even luckier that we got John as our guide. Everything was seamless from the moment John picked us up from the airport. He organised somebody from the airport chaperone us through immigration, which made it less daunting. The car was extremely comfortable, we were even able to fully recline to nap on long drives. John was extremely kind and attentive, and his guidance ensured we had an amazing trip. He always made sure to give us loads of information and was very informative. All of our accommodation and meals were also excellent. We did chimp trekking in Kyambura Gorge and gorilla trekking in the Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Both were excellent and we were lucky enough to see both animals up close. We even got time for a bonus game drive in Queen Elizabeth Natural Park and managed to see lions, elephants, buffalo and a leopard as well as warthogs, a hyena, kobs and more in only 3 hours! Obviously we were lucky, but John's knowledge and excellent driving had a big role to play! Can't thank and recommend John enough for an incredible experience!

  The Gorilla trekking was a Great experience. From the beginning to the end Everything was Fine. There have been no issues and also all the accomodations that John has selected were nice. We will definetely come back in some years . Many thanks to John and Hillary.

  I booked my honeymoon through Safaris with Jon and I am so glad I did. He gave really quick responses, addressed all of my questions/concerns and much more. My tour was the luxury 10 days between Uganda and Kenya. The lodging that Jon picked were really great. We did 2 gorilla trek days to see two different gorilla families. I highly recommend doing more than one day if you can. The experiences were really different. TLDR: I booked with Safaris with Jon for my Honeymoon in Kenya and Uganda!   A wonderful experience with great personal attention from Jon who had clearly considered all our needs and those small touches that make a trip special. Jon is personable, informative and professional. His time keeping is excellent which was greatly appreciated. From the initial contact to the final drop off we were in great hands. I highly recommend Jon to organise a trip. He is accommodating and lets you know the pros and alternatives of what you want to do. February was the perfect month to see the gorillas and we were not disappointed. I would happily do another trip with Jon.
