スプリトの中心部には、現在も残るローマの記念建造物の中でも印象的なディオクレティアヌス宮殿があります。 4世紀初頭にローマ皇帝ディオクレティアヌスの隠居所として建てられた宮殿は、豪華なヴィラと強固な防御壁と塔を組み合わせた要塞複合施設として設計された。 ローマ帝国の崩壊後、地元住民は城壁内に避難場所を求め、宮殿は徐々に生きた都市へと変貌していった。 何世紀にもわたって、中世の家屋、教会、細い通りは、オリジナルのローマ建築の内部に発展した。 現在、宮殿はスプリトの歴史的中心地を形成し、ユネスコの世界遺産の一部として保護されており、古代の歴史と現代生活が並んでいます。

5.00Judita is the best guide in the world! With her warmth, her smiles, and her amazing stories, we had one of the best tours of our trip. She had all the patience in the world to answer every question, even if it meant going over time. She truly is part of Diocletian’s Palace, and if you choose her, you’ll understand why. Unmissable and unbeatable!!!

5.00We really enjoyed our tour. Judita provided an excellent tour with lots interesting and sometimes humorous bits of information about the palace. She navigated the crowds with ease and always found a good space to stop and talk. She was very attentive to the needs of the group. But what made our tour special was her apparent desire that we all enjoy our visit and her obvious love for her city. It felt like being shown around town by a friend.
