  We spent a full day with Simon Mosikare on his Soweto tour and it was genuinely one of the highlights of our South Africa visit. Simon is the real deal — deeply knowledgeable about Soweto's history, warm and engaging throughout, and clearly passionate about sharing the full story of the journey toward a democratic South Africa. The pacing was relaxed and unhurried, which suited us perfectly. We never felt rushed, and Simon took the time to really bring the context to life — Mandela, the township's extraordinary diversity, and the layers of history most visitors never get to. He even arranged an additional local guide for one particular area, which added a really authentic dimension. His vehicle was comfortable and well looked after.   We have booked the half-day SOWETO tour as a family with two children (10 & 14 years) and we can only recommend it to anyone - even with children. Especially the last part of the tour, where you walk through a very poor part of the township, was very impressive. We felt absolutely safe and welcome at all times. Already a highlight on our trip to South Africa. Thank you Simon for this special experience.
