Acropolis
アテネのアクロポリス（古代ギリシア語: ἡ Ἀκρόπολις τῶν Ἀθηνῶν、ローマ字: hē Akropolis tōn Athēnōn; 現代ギリシャ語: Ακρόπολη Αθηνών, ローマ字表記: Akrópoli Athinón）は、ギリシャのアテネ市上空の岩の露頭上に位置する古代の城塞で、建築的・歴史的に重要ないくつかの古代建築物の遺跡があり、最も有名なものはパルテノン神殿である。
Herod Atticus Odeon
ヘロデス・アッティコスのオデオンは、アテネのアクロポリス南西斜面にある見事な石造りの劇場です。 ローマ元老院議員ヘロデス・アッティコスが妻を記念して紀元161年に建てたもので、当初は木造の屋根で覆われており、約5,000人の観客が座ることができた。 現在でもコンサートや公演に使われており、ギリシャにおける古代ローマの劇場建築の最も優れた例の一つである。

5.00We had an excellent experience on this tour with our guide, Julia. She was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about Greek history, which made every stop engaging and memorable. Julia encouraged questions throughout the tour and answered them with patience and great insight, making it an interactive experience rather than just a guided walk. As a family of four from England, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was well-paced, informative, and brought the Acropolis, Parthenon, and Ancient Agora to life. We would highly recommend this tour, especially with Julia as your guide. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Excellent long tour: bring water!

5.00The tour was wonderful, but it is very long. Definitely schedule for early morning; the sun and heat later in the day would make the experience unpleasant. Our guide Cristina was wonderful: charming, knowledgeable, considerate and navigated the crowds efficiently. The only complaint I have was that I booked the tour for 9:00 AM, arrived at 8:45 AM, but did not leave until 10:00 AM. We had other tours arranged for 1:30 based on the assumption that we would be finished by 1:00 as advertised, and ended up missing them.

5.00Our experience was just perfect. Our tour required a bit of walking, but worth every minute while being informed and educated, thanks to our tour guide who was very knowledgeable to so many interesting artifacts and historical events.

3.00After meeting our guide at the tour operators office, it was a short walk to the entrance and it was nice to walk past the lines of people waiting to purchase entry tickets. Our guide was very nice and was thoughtful at planning his stops for brief talks in shady and breezy spots. We were lucky to have a beautiful June day. Unfortunately for me, I found it hard to understand much of our guide’s English. The tour description tells you which temples/sights you will see and I’d recommend reading about them ahead of the tour to get more out of the tour.

3.00Tour guide was not very engaging. There's a way to explain the history of the Acropolis in a way that keeps the attention of the group - and this was not a skill possessed by our guide. We spent very little time at the top of the Acropolis to explore (only 15 mins), which was disappointing because we spent more time taking a break at a tourist ice cream shop for people to use the toilets. It's a shame, because this is a must-see in Athens. In the future, I would recommend pre-booking the tickets to avoid the line for day-of purchases, but think about skipping the guided tour because the quality of the actual tour can vary quite widely.

5.00Our tour guide was so knowledgeable. The way she explained everything with such passion made the whole experience worth every penny. I honestly believe that so much would be missed without a tour guide to share so much history. You need to wear sensible footwear as the land is very uneven and can be slippery.
