• An Amazing Day with Athens Soul Travel

  This was my family’s first trip to Greece and we wanted to have a private, personalized tour of the historical sites in Athens. We booked it directly with Athens Soul Travel and had the most amazing day with our tour guides. Kiriakos picked us up at our hotel and drove us to our first stop, the Acropolis. There we met our personal tour guide Maria who was very knowledgeable and took us to the Parthenon and other beautiful sites, including a tour of the Acropolis museum. The benefit of Athens Soul Travel was that they recommended which sites are must sees with tickets etc., and which you can see from the outside and perhaps not purchase a ticket. We saw many sites and were told the history as well as taken to the best areas to experience the scenic views. I highly recommend seeing the changing of the guard at the Presidential Palace and seeing the Olympic Stadium. We also felt like we were immersed in the Greek culture as we received recommendations for lunch and were shown the authentic neighborhoods like the Plaka. Spending the day with Kiriakos and Maria and hearing about their stories made the experience much more memorable. In my opinion there is no substitute for getting a personalized tour - you learn more and come away from it feeling like you were a guest in someone’s home rather than being part of a big tourist group. If this sounds good to you, this is the tour company you should book. It was an experience my wife, daughter and I will never forget.

  2nd day of a 2-day tour was amazing beginning with sampling some authentic Greek delicacies, exploring the streets and shops of Athens, interspersed with a history lesson on architecture and our guide left no stone unturned explaining the centuries old ruins and still standing buildings throughout the city. A full day of amazement provided by our guide, who left me wanting to come back. Athens Soul Tour did an outstanding job planning our itinerary and showing us their beautiful city.   We had a wonderful tour with Tony, an Athens native. He explained all of the monuments prior to us visiting them and we felt very prepared to enjoy what we were seeing. We made a quick stop at his favorite cafe, which added to the local flavor of the experience.   The Athens day trip was wonderful with Anthony! He was knowledgeable and passionate about showing us his city and all the sites it offers. He took us to the big must seed as well as several lesser known places that were great. He was really good at giving you details on the sites before you got there so you knew exactly what you were seeing and the historical significance. He's a very nice person and a joy to spend the day with.   Antonis was a fantastic guide for our day trip of Athens! He shared so much information about the history of each site, it was so educational. We also had plenty of time to explore all of the sites, so we could learn about the Parthenon and then visit it without rushing or trying to keep up with a group.   I have personally used Tony for my family’s private tour to Athens and also for many clients visiting Athens. He is professional, timely, clean and so amazing at enriching your experience with his friendliness and local insight! Not to mention his amazing books on the sites and ruins. We loved our entire day!
