Udawalawe National Park

ウダワラウェ国立公園はスリランカ南部に位置し、豊かな野生生物、特にアジアゾウの個体数が多いことで有名です。面積は約30,821ヘクタールで、1972年に設立されたこの公園は野生動物愛好家の重要な目的地です。ヒョウ、ワニ、水牛、さまざまな鳥種など、多様な動植物が生息しています。公園の景観は草原、湿地、スクラブの森などがあり、サファリに絶好の機会を提供している。また、ウダワラウェにはウダワラウェ貯水池があり、特に乾季には多くの動物が集まる。スリランカ国内、国外を問わず観光客に人気のある野生動物の目的地の一つです。

We booked a taxi ride from Ella to Weligama beach with Lakpura leisure. Chathum from Lakpura leisure helped us planning the trip. He always responded to our messages in a timely manner and always sent us the confirmation which was very reassuring. He also arranged a safari tour at Udawalawe National Park on our way to Weligama beach. I highly recommend booking/ planning the trip with Lakpura leisure. They are very professional, accommodating and reasonably priced.
We had a wonderful time and it was the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip!

The whole trip was perfectly planned. The Driver was so kind and helpful. We had cosy and comfortable climatized van with lots of space. After we arrived to Udawawale only 5 minutes later there we started our amazing journey. Enjoy a little humpy road, beautiful scenery of Sri Lanka flora and fauna like elephants, monkeys, peacocks, colorful birds, lizards, water buffaloes,… It was worth it!
