5.00It was an extremely fruitful experience. Managed to experience all the wonderful things northern Xinjiang had to offer with their food, culture and their beautiful landscape. The guide was extremely helpful in showing us good deals, telling us interesting stories on the history of Uyghur culture, bringing us to places with good food and was extremely accommodating during the time we were there. He even helped us reschedule our itinerary due to the closures of certain hiking group and allowed for a pleasant and smooth experience. Would go again to see more landscape or in different seasons.

4.00We had a wonderful time seeing Xinjiang with Waheed who is awesome. He helped us with lost luggage which did not arrive in Kashgar, assisted with connecting with airlines to retrieve an item left on the plane, took us through parts of the Karakoram Highway with endless panoramic views, walked us through the old town in Kashgar, and more. Note that we did not see the live stock market (which some of use were looking forward to see, a once-in-a-lifetime chance) because you have to be there on a certain day of the week, which is pretty hard to chance on if you have limited time in Kashgar. Another thing to note is that as foreign tourists, we had to wait 2 hours to get a "permit" to get past a certain point on the Karakoram Highway - something we did not expect before we got there.

5.00During our stay we visited Kasgar on Jul 2024 and had the opportunity to try local food and see Torugart pass, Sandy lake, Karakol lake, Muztagh Ata. Contact with the Agency at the highest level, fast and clear. Great English which made local communication much easier. The organization of accommodation, transport, travel and other logistics is very good.
