• An experience that stays with you long after you leave

  I don’t usually leave long reviews but this time I have to make an exception: the Carbonera Reserve tour was far more than tourism and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The day begins at a small farm overlooking the Andean mountains with breathtaking views stretching into the clouds. There, we listened to the story of this land (the origin of the ancient trail that crosses it, the challenges of reforestation ...) and each of us planted a palm. This shifts your perspective and quietly prepares you for what comes next: the Carbonera Reserve. This place is pure magic. It felt like stepping into something fragile and precious. There is a rare stillness and peace there, a scale and beauty that have struck me like in very few other places in the world. 5to Elemento’s organization is thoughtful yet warm. You can feel the care and sensitivity behind everything. It’s not just a guided tour: they help you understand where you are and why, and for whom, the places you are in matter. I can’t put this day into a single word. What I can say is that, three days later, I’m surprised by how much I miss those landscapes and how something of them is still unfolding within me. Endless thanks to Marcela and Clément for sharing, with such passion, the stories and roots of this land, theirs by birth or by choice. I will be back very soon. Claudia from Italy

  We spent a great day with Clement and Marcela exploring the Carbonera and surrounding areas. Marcela was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and fun to hang out with (especially as a DJ for the dancing in the jeep ;) ) La Carbonera is stunning and you need an organised tour to enter and visit. We highly recommend the experience.

  The tour to Carbonera was amazing! Carbonera is a highly underrated place, I think it’s better that Cocora. Would definitely recommend doing a tour with 5to Elemento. Our tour guide, Santiago, explained everything very well.

  A great experience for our first day in Salento. Beautiful landscapes and views, in good company with a great group and a guide who knows the environment like no one else and always making the trip enjoyable. I highly recommend it and Sole as a guide!

  Very complete and pleasant experience. Carbonera is a must if you come to the area. Planting a palm is the icing on the tour.
