• Relaxing Sunset Kayak Tour

  My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our guided kayak adventure. Our guide was knowledgeable and encouraging. He was very calm and laid back (in a good way), not hurrying everyone along. He also took our photo on his phone and sent it to me. There were several different groups that went together -- I think we had 12-14 kayaks total. We went in the evening and got back just in time for sunset. We saw several different types of birds and some nutria that were swimming in the sound. This was not a strenuous paddling trip, as we were not having to fight against strong currents. We were the last ones to arrive at the meeting location prior to the trip. We were coming from Kitty Hawk and didn't anticipate so much traffic, slower speeds, and a fender-bender that blocked traffic. Check you maps app to make sure you allow plenty of time to get there from your location.

  The trip was great. Our guide David was so experienced. He gave an interesting account of the history of the island and lot of other interesting facts. We have done kayaking before but having an experienced guide lead the way made the difference

  We were supposed to do the sunset cruise and we got switched to the river tour. They told us we would still see a sunset. No sunset and snakes in the water. It was not for us!

  We went on a 6 pm kayak trip with David. He is such an easy going cool guy! And very knowledgeable!! It was a beautiful trip seeing lots of wildlife and birds! The sunset was unforgettable! We had adults all the way down to 13 year olds. Easy paddling, a little bit more effort was needed getting back across the sound on the way back, but the kids did great! Highly recommend!!

  My husband and I enjoyed the kayaking adventure. We took a 6:00 tour and it was amazing. Our guide Liam was very personable and attentive. We had a tour group of 6 and he made it a point to talk to each one of us!! The scenery and the evening sky were beautiful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves kayaking.

  Our guide was awesome and except for one woman from Michigan who ignored all requests to be quiet and who talked loud and incessantly, disturbing wildlife, we may have seen more birds!

  Our excursion was cancelled in the afternoon and we were never notified. We showed up at 5:45 pm and the person there had no idea what was going on. I had sent multiple messages the days prior to add a person and no one ever responded. Communication was poor.
