• Great day on the Pikes Peak

  You have to take time before the trip to get used to the higher elevation, which includes drinking lots of water so you can avoid altitude sickness. Our driver, Kevin, was prepared with water & snacks as he drove slowly up the mountain. The views are spectacular. He stopped periodically so we could take pictures and checked on how we were doing. There are a couple of gift shops along the way where we could browse without the crowds at the top. When we reached the peak there was time for more pictures, a snack ( donuts), shopping & their museum. On the way down there is a stop where the. Condition of each vehicle's brakes are checked. Many drivers had to pull over to let their brakes cool. Our driver was using 1st gear for the descent to protect his brakes. So we didn't have to stop. Being able to enjoy the views , and letting an experienced driver negotiate the switchbacks both up & down is worth the price of a tour. Kevin, our driver with Rapp tours, made our trip fun, informative, & restful. I highly recommend this tour.

  Our jeep tour of Pike’s Peak with Amanda was fantastic! We could truly appreciate the scenery without the stress of driving. Amanda was friendly, energetic, and informative. She stopped at all the scenic viewpoints, took pics of us, and we got to take our time at the summit. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

  We showed up on a foggy, cold morning when the weather was only calling for rain later in the afternoon. I was afraid the tour wouldn’t be worth it because we wouldn’t be able to see much due to the fog, but we showed up anyway and met Amanda. Amanda was super cheery, assured us it would be a great tour, and she didn’t disappoint! She had a super nice Jeep with a retractable hard top, snacks, Gatorade and water in the back, and drove us up as far as we could go before getting stopped due to icy roads to the top. Amanda was so much fun, knowledgeable, and took us through Manitou Springs after we got down. I can’t wait to book another tour with Amanda! Couldn’t recommend enough! Book now!

  I had the best time ever with the best tour guide !!!!! Amanda was so nice and just so full of personality she was as bubbly and as excited as we were going into the tour! She is literally the best, not only did she knew everything about everything but she made us feel very happy and comfortable through the whole ride like No awkwardness just fulll of excitement and adventure!! I will and only book with her again literally the sweetest most genuine person I ever encountered with I wish the was more people like that❤️

  I wish I was a really great writer that could put down on paper what happened with the experience. I’m not but I want you to know it was nothing short of magical. This tour started in a parking lot for the meet up. I met my tour guide Amanda. Right away she started talking to me like she was an old friend that I’ve know forever. She told me about the snacks that they have. The water and Gatorade. Just making sure I was going to be completely at ease. I got in the jeep and we drove to the gate at the start of the trek. Right away the lady at the gate house knew Amanda and they exchanged pleasantries. We had postponed the trip from the original time at 11 to 1 o’clock because it had snowed the night before and the summit wasn’t open yet. At the gate they told us the summit had just opened up. Amanda was so excited like it was going to be her first time to see it. When you are with someone that has all that enthusiasm for the moment it really adds to the experience. I had never been to Pikes Peak before. Amanda made stops along the way up and we took pictures. She is very knowledgeable about the whole mountain, the town and how the road got there. I really can’t say enough about how much her enthusiasm and excitement for the trip made me feel so much better. I asked Amanda when we got back down from the trip how often she makes it to the Summit every year and she said over 700 times a year she’s been doing this for 10 years plus that makes over 7000 trips to the summit, but it truly felt like maybe it was her first with her enthusiasm to go there and the way she pointed things out and how excited she was to see them the way I was. I really don’t understand how someone could do this 7000 times and still have the enthusiasm that she does. It was an amazing day and I highly recommend this tour and I just wanna say thanks to Amanda for making this one best days of my life!
