• So immersive, challenging, and fun!

  We had a great time with the Escapely game in Columbus! First off, I was a little wary that a “real world escape game” based in my city would be too generic and only nominally connected to real locations… but boy, was I surprised and impressed! The production quality of the game and the components was very impressive - everything about it was high quality and didn’t feel “hand made” (in a bad way) at all. Now, we’re pretty experienced with Escape rooms, and we love the Exit: The Game line from Thames and Kosmos, so we thought we’d breeze through the puzzles. Again, we underestimated the complexity of the riddles, but we enjoyed every moment. A few things we caught onto right away, but others had us scratching our heads until we had that "Eureka!" moment. We also learned that it’s good to be on the correct side of a building when trying to decipher the clues hidden in the facade. :) We spent about 3 hours from parking to ending, and successfully challenged ourselves to solve it without any hints or clues. We picked a beautiful day, enjoyed a nice walking tour around downtown, and visited places and landmarks that we had never seen before, despite having lived here for years. Overall, we loved it, and are already planning a trip to another city to try another Escapely mission out. Thanks for doing it right!

  

  

  

• Fun and creative game

  it was a great experience for my family and got us out of the house and off our phones! The puzzles weren’t too difficult and made everyone use their heads. We received the game as a Christmas gift, and considering looking into purchasing other games.

  

  

• A fun experience exploring the downtown Columbus area!

  Received this as a gift from my wife and we completed it together. We are big fans of traditional escape rooms, but this was a fun offshoot of that. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed getting to leisurely walk around the downtown area, solving the puzzles and taking breaks to pop into local shops without the pressure of a ticking clock. We felt the difficulty level of the puzzles was perfect for this type of experience. As escape room puzzle veterans we were able to get through everything without needing the hints, but there was still a satisfying amount of effort that went into completing each one. There was never a feeling that it was TOO easy. And when you're walking around, enjoying the city, that's kind of the sweet spot of difficulty you want. You still get that little rush of figuring it out, but aren't stuck beating your head against some monument trying to figure out an impossible riddle. The whole thing took us about 2.5 hours to complete including all the walking and a pit stop for treats at the Planter's store.

  We received this outdoor escape room adventure as a gift and we had an absolute blast doing it! I would highly recommend if you like puzzle solving. It's challenging, but doable. There are degrees of hints you can get if you're struggling, and we really liked that. Sometimes just a little hint is enough to get you on the right track. We were proud of ourselves whenever we didn't use any hints for a stop. We're already thinking of other people we know who would like it too -- Christmas gift idea! It's a really fun way to spend a few hours!

  My friends got me this as a birthday present. We all completed the outdoor escape room together and had a blast!! It's a great way to spend a couple of hours and incorporated some of Columbus's must see downtown landmarks. In total we probably walked a mile or so. The end point is right by a bunch of great restaurants so we completed the final clue while enjoying some drinks and apps! I highly recommend this for anyone who likes games and escape rooms and wants to spend the afternoon out and about.

  I did this with a group of 4 friends who have never been to this part of Columbus. We had no idea what to expect and worried that it would be somewhat generic and wouldn’t rely on the city. We could not have been more wrong. The path the game takes you, the city features it uses, and the scenery incorporated were so deliberate and well thought out. The game was made for Columbus. The game suggested a convenient parking garage that allowed us to do the entire game on foot. We discovered buildings and monuments that we never knew existed and would never have explored otherwise. The puzzles had challenging moments, but not to the point of being overly frustrating. It was fun stopping at the little shops and cafes we passed along the way. You could easily spend half a day following these puzzles, solving a mystery, and exploring the city around you. Amazing job. I have never played anything like this and cannot wait to order another city.

  We loved traveling around Columbus solving puzzles. The locations were spaced not too close but not too far either. The puzzles were challenging and clever. It was great to take our time and grab some food and enjoy it at our own pace. Very well done.
