• South of France Tour was so worth it!

  Alex was our driver for our private tour with 8 family members. He was excellent! He was able to pick us up a little early since we were early at the port. He was extremely knowledgeable and took his time to point out interesting places and things to stop and see. He gave us great recommendations for food and snacks. He kept us on time and comfortable and had a great sense of humor! We were back at the port in plenty of time for our ship. Definitely worth the price for such a limited time in port, we packed it all in.

  Villefranche-sur-Mer is a gem nestled along the radiant curve of the French Riviera, cradled gracefully between the bustling city of Nice and the opulent principality of Monaco. More than just a resort town, Villefranche-sur-Mer is a living painting—its colors shifting with the sun, its soul steeped in history, charm, and coastal elegance. At the heart of its allure lies the lovely sweeping bay, one of the deepest natural harbors in the Mediterranean, where sapphire waters gently cradle sailboats and luxury yachts alike. The view is timeless: pastel-colored houses cascade down steep hillsides, their shutters faded by the sea breeze and sun, while narrow cobbled streets lead visitors through a village that has somehow escaped the rush of modern life. The Promenade des Marinières lines the water’s edge, inviting long, dreamy strolls with the scent of salt and bougainvillea in the air. • Fantastic way to see Riviera highlights!!

  What a fantastic way to comfortably experience Riviera highlights. Our guide was phenomenal. He had so much in-depth knowledge about each area we visited. It’s hot this time of year so escaping to A/C was heavenly between stops. My favorite places were Antibes and Eze. We were so lucky as it was just 3 of us. Highly recommend!!

  As expected there was lots to see, so time was a bit of an issue. Our driver, Valerieu, did take us to a very nice hilltop medieval town of Saint Paul de Vence for lunch, but we did not have any time to both eat and take up his suggestion to visit the cemetery at the south end of the village. Two main criticisms, there was 12 of us in the van, not 8; and our driver did not have a means to use the van's radio speakers to give us information. At a stop I did politely inform him privately that it was difficult for some of us towards the rear of the van to hear him, particularly over the road noise when traveling at speed. He informed me that while some of the company's guides may require such a device, he emphatically stated that his voice was strong enough to reach us. He was incorrect and displayed a rather arrogant attitude. It is primarily for this reason I only rate the tour as a 3

  Rodrigo was amazing.! He knew so much history of each place we visited. He was very attentive and made sure we had a memorable experience. He was super fun and even gave us great recommendations for restaurants!

  A comprehensive exposure to the French Riviera in about ten hours. Our driver was also the guide with entertaining stories, clear guidance about what to see and time to wander and even shop in each place.

  This tour was good; however, two other tours from Viator got canceled, and another tour I asked to move to one day later because our ship wasn't going to be there due to weather and they wouldn't refund my money ($500) or allow us to adjust our date. So, 5 tours I scheduled with them total for this trip, and 3 of them were either canceled or they wouldn't accommodate the day adjustment. And, their customer service sent me an email to my request telling me "no" again on the refund. Unbelievable and horrible business ethics. Specially, this tour was okay. We were in a small van with seven customers plus the guide. She was knowledgeable and friendly. The sites and scenery were amazing. Here are a couple of recommendations to help in the future. Have a planned and efficient plan for the day and how to get to all the sites. We drove around for hours with small, quick stops to snap a couple of pictures. It felt slightly like the amazing race, yet you are on vacation. We left at 8:30 and got back at 6:30. That's just too long and very exhausting. Net, net: I'm glad I went, but there should be a solid plan for the day so you feel like you aren't the person navigating. We aren't the subject matter experts, so we trust you all to do that part. Which, ultimately, is why we paid money for the tour. All that said, given my terrible experience with Viator, this tour (1) at least wasn't canceled, and (2) I got a lot of beautiful pictures.

  Thank you Xavier for the wonderful tour of the French Riviera. We loved all parts of it from Cannes to Monaco. You helped us cover a lot of sights in a one day cruise tour. Your knowledge of the areas we visited and driving skills were superb. Tres Bien
