  Beautiful beach walk on very week trained horses. We've ridden in multiple countries and the scenery is unmatched. There's no cantering but you're so immersed in the vastness of the mountains and ocean and beach it doesn't matter. We saw eagles on the beach too. Cody was very personable.

  One of the best horse riding experiences in Alaska. Cody is great. He allows you to enjoy yourself, brings you all along the beaches, in the water, gives you the history of the area, and much more. He is very relaxed and allows you to enjoy the horse, you don’t always have to follow in line although you can’t go ahead of him you’re allowed to trot and he is the most easy person going ever. I can’t remember when I enjoyed a ride as much as I did this.

  I did this horseback riding adventure on the beach in Homer, Alaska in my downtime on business travel last year. I loved it so much I've been wanting to bring my family out to do it. I just got back from another ride, this time with our two daughters. We had an amazing time! Cody is the best guide. He took us on another magnificent ride along the beach, through tidal pools, and to a waterfall. The scenery was magnificent and unreal, with snow covered mountain peaks, we saw a distant glacier, volcano, eagles, and ravens. The horses were all great. We rode some beautiful Norwegian Fjord horses, Bullseye and Star, who were very easy to ride, and another horse named Bo. All were great. Awesome horses. We loved them. It was truly a magnificent ride and precious memory I could share with my daughters, that I will cherish for a lifetime. I'm planning to go back with other family members including my spouse and our sons. I can't wait. Thank you Cody! You're the best.   I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Cody is an incredible person and his passion and love for his horses is absolutely what makes every ride amazing! He is so thoughtful on choosing who each person should ride and making each person feel safe and comfortable according to their skill level! By making the safety of his horses and his riders his first priority, I would recommend him to any age level or skill level! If you are in Homer there is truly nothing better than taking a horse ride, along the ocean with the majestic glaciers, volcanoes and snow capped mountains in the background! • Horses so sweet, a baby can do it!

  WOW! Best. Morning. EVER! I took my four young kids on this ride…from a 17 month old up to an 8 year old. The sun was shining, the tide was negative, and I would have paid three times the price for what an incredible experience we had. It was an hour ride, but we definitely went a little longer to see as much of the tide pools as possible. Cody was gentle and kind with my four year old, whom he ponied along on a beautiful and trusty paint horse. My 8 year old and I rode gorgeous Norwegian Fjord horses who were friendly as well as calm and safe—so safe in fact, that my 17 month old could ride double with me on my lap (I put him in my wrap to help support him.) and fell asleep! He snoozed for half the ride! My son, who recently turned 7, was on a very calm, willing, and obedient horse, who was tall enough to make that little boy feel like a big cowboy! We were alone as a family, so it’s not one of those crowded rides with 20 strangers nose to tail. It’s walking ride with a little trotting if you’re up for it, so it was very safe for beginners…and my little ones. And the views! We could see two volcanoes, the glacier, a waterfall (and tons of smaller falls, actually), tide pools, amazing rock outcroppings, and even had some tiny splishy-splashes in small water crossings from streams that empty into the ocean. The sun was shimmering on the water, and the sand was soft under the horses’ hooves. Oh! And he snaps really great pictures for you! Cody was knowledgeable and treats his horses really well, and he’s just incredible with kids. If you have a child that might be shy or unsure, he’ll make them feel at ease and ensure they enjoy their time. It was simply incredible. We certainly had the weather in our favor, but he has a bunch of rain gear and even gloves available if the weather doesn’t cooperate for you. In fact, he’s even prepared to take people on rides when their boat charters cancel; just layer up and be on your way! 10/10 recommend for beginners, babies, kids, teens, adults, grand pre riders, elderly, rodeo queens…seriously, anyone would love this serene experience.

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Memorable experience

  Cody was a great guide and gave us a fantastic experience. He was sensitive to all skill levels and went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable. The ride was just the right amount of time and it was a memorable experience for my family. Highly recommend for families and beginners with no riding experience.

  Can’t wait to come back! Cody was so knowledgeable and made our group feel safe! We had a blast, the horses were SO well behaved and you cannot beat the views! The most scenic ride I’ve been on!
