What To Expect
Monteith's Brewing Company
モンテイスの醸造会社は150年以上西海岸の一部であった。 醸造は現場では行われなくなりましたが、グレイマウス・ロケーションは今やビールの遺産を祝う世界クラスのビジターアトラクションとなっています。 この45分間のガイド付き体験は、建築的にデザインされた醸造所へのバックステージパスです。地元の話を聞いたり、歴史的なレシピを探ったり、かつてモンテイスの醸造所に命を吹き込んだ道具を見学したりすることができます。 有名なビールを醸造した方法を学び、最後に匂い、視覚、味覚でビールを探索するテイスティングセッションを行います。その後、モンテイスのタップビールまたはサイダーを3本テイスティングノートと共にお楽しみいただけます。 また、持ち帰るとモンティーズ6パックがもらえます。 パスポートには、フランツ・ヨーゼフ・ホットプール、ツリートップウォーク、シャンティタウン・ヘリテージパークなどの西海岸のアトラクションの割引が含まれています。 ツアーは毎日午後4時にモンティーズ・ブルワリー（ハーバート・ストリート・グレイマウス60番地）から出発します。 体験時間は約45分。 Monteith’sは車椅子対応で、お子様のツアーパスはバーでご利用いただけます。

5.00Had a great time learning about history of New Zealand beer history!… The beer tasted refreshing ! We were shown how the factory is set up to brew and then bottle the beer. Afterwards, we were given two options, including a classic beer. I thought that the beer had a great flavor!

4.00We enjoyed our tour. Harvey was a knowledgeable and personable guide. It was interesting to hear about the history of the company a the brewing process although no brewing takes place on site. Monteith’s beers are allay good so we enjoyed the samples and the mixed six packs to bring away.

When you take the tour they give you a few discount coupons to use in the area.

3.00One of the coupons gives 20% off the Waiatoto River Safaris which amounts to a substantial saving. The tour was informative. Our guide spoke about the founder’s history and prison sentence for illegally making and selling his craft beer. It was a former brewery; nothing is made there now. The tanks have a problem with the underground beer line. We took the tour with a tasting. You get 2 beers and a mixed 6 pack of your choice to take home.

2.00Not really much off a tour nothing really to see only good thing about it if you paid for full tour you get to get 6 pack off beer but would be cheaper to go buy a 6 pack at the shop so definitely would not be recommending

5.00Monteith’s Brewery is a highlight for the town of Graymouth. Even though it’s now owned by a big international brewing company, it still feels like a place locals actually come to, not just somewhere set up for tourists. The brewery tour was informative and easy to follow — not rushed, and you learn something. The tastings at the end were a nice way to wrap it up. Food and drinks were priced as you except when you walk through the door, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Plenty of space and easygoing vibe. Worth the visit if you’re passing through.

5.00Enjoyed our tour only 40 mins but it’s enough. Cecilia’s knowledge of brewing is great very enthusiastic and a great bar too. Its closes at 9pm as does everywhere else in Greymouth so don’t be late if you want to test the different beers on offer.
Best dark beer in the world.

5.00The brewery is a great place to visit with excellent beers on Tap. The lady who did our tour last Wednesday afternoon was amazing. She had great stories about the brewery and westcoast. Down to earth and an all round great person to have a beer with.
