  Great introduction to Hà Nội with a little bit of everything and a great way to get your bearings. Brian was knowledgeable (he’s an essentially a local after 10 years!) but not overbearing. Not just book knowledge but genuine local insight. Really gives the impression he’s enjoying the tour as much as you. Where you go seems to be based on the initial chat, so highly personalised whilst still having a relaxed vibe. Never once felt unsafe as a non bike rider on the back of Brian’s bike. Quite the opposite actually and it’s the perfect way to get a feel for the city. Great food locations, a bit of history and some sights. Perfect way of spending an evening. Worth the price for sure.

  

  

• Brilluant Hanoi bike tour

  We deferred this tour due to heavy rain and flooding on the original date and road closures around Hanoi due to the 80th Anniversay Parade rehersals. On the day of our tour, weather was perfect. Vu & Phuong our guides/drivers collected us on their bikes and away we went. A real adventure all around Okd Town, French Qtr and Westlake. Stopped for a coffee by the central lake, then Art St - fantastic, over the Red River and back, dinner, a stop for a ciconut ice cream, John McCain memorial, Lowering of the Flag at Ho Chi Minh mausoleum them a beer on the way back to the hotel. Navigating Hanoi traffic on a scooter was part of the fun, even a bit hair-raising at times. Great tour, one of the best we have done.

  Had an absolute ball. Friday late afternoon and night navigating all the traffic with the best guide, Nick. I felt so safe in Nick’s capable hands. He took me to the best places, ate the most delicious food and shared lots of stories and laughs. Cannot rest his tour enough.

  Had the Best time on the evening moto bike tour in Hanoi! The stops are all worthwhile, the guide was super informative, and riding on a moto bike was not only fun but get such an authentic experience in the city. Do not hesitate to book this (or more!) tours with Taste of Hanoi - you will not regret it!

  Riding as a pillion passenger around the crazy streets of Hanoi was a blast. Rose, my wonderful driver and guide was superb. She was not only great company but full of really interesting information about life in Vietnam and its history. I cannot recommend her too highly!!

  I am so glad we chose to do A Taste Of Hanoi’s sunset motorbike tour! It was an awesome activity to do with kids, all the drivers were fantastic, spoke great English and were very knowledgeable. We saw loads, learnt more and had a brilliant time. I’ll do this tour again if we come back to Hanoi and would recommend it in a heartbeat! Thanks to Brian for organising it so soon after Vietnam reopened and so quickly for our short notice trip.

  Brain picked me up at my hotel right on time and we were off on his motorcycle. I was a little nervous as I had seen how some of the motorcyclists drive, but he made me feel very comfortable. I was ill prepared for the chill of the evening, but Brian was well prepared and was kind enough to lend me a scarf and jacket. He showed me sights, I would not have otherwise have seen. It was a wonderful evening and I would highly recommend using Brian as your guide!

  We were traveling with Brian and it was an exciting and informative tour. Great experience to be on the road with scooters and feel absolutely safe. Brian always had interesting info without it getting too much. 100% recommendation.

  I’ll confess - my reason for taking the tour was to get sunset pictures, but the rain started falling an hour before and it turned into a rainy adventure. I’m so glad I had Công to guide me around Hanoi via motorbike! Bourdain said in his Hanoi episode that the one thing you HAVE to do is see Hanoi by motorbike ... I’d add, “in the rain.” The combination of art, history, culture, and food was unbeatable. As a solo traveler who doesn’t speak the language, one of my biggest worries is that I won’t truly experience a place, but getting the chance to spend the evening chatting with Công about his life and the deep history of Vietnam was an absolute pleasure! We saw the Ho Chi Minh flag lowering ceremony at 9p, and before that spent hours looking at a variety of sights, and eating snacks along the way. Dinner was absolutely delicious and in a place I never would have found on my own — let alone would I have known what to order. All five dishes were completely new to me, which was amazing. In summary, if you’re looking to experience Hanoi beyond the guidebook, this is the tour for you. I would add that I loved supporting a local company (run by an expat American) that hires young people like Công. His love of learning is infectious - thanks for a great time, Công!
