  The Hollywood sights were great, but the service from our driver during the 12:30 PM tour today (02. June) ruined the experience a bit. After telling him we are from Germany, he treated us very reservedly. Even after leaving a $5 tip at the end, we didn't get a "thank you" or a friendly goodbye. Starline Tours should remind their staff to be welcoming to guests from all countries.

  We missed our tour due to traffic but the staff went out of their way to help us get on another tour that day as we were leaving the next morning they were fantastic thanks

  I was running a little late and the bus was about to leave. When I tried to ask the driver a question, he rudely responded, “I don’t answer questions,” without even listening, and then just drove off. Additionally, I was charged for my 2-year-old as well.

  As long as you go in with the right expectations, you will enjoy this enormously. The tour gives you a real insight into where the rich and famous live, not only in Beverly Hills but also in Bel Air and the surrounding canyon areas. It is true that the bus cannot stop in most locations, but there are clear signs explaining that it is actually illegal for them to do so. The driver does a good job of pointing out the different houses as you pass. In reality, the main point of the tour is to take in the atmosphere, the sheer scale of the homes, the privacy, and the overall opulence. You notice the lack of sidewalks, the gated communities, and the incredibly manicured landscaping everywhere. There are plenty of highlights along the way and, if you are quick, you can still get some good photos from the bus. In terms of seating, I would recommend sitting on the left side for the first half, then switching your attention to the right side after the stop at the Universal Studios overlook, which is the only place the buses are allowed to stop.

  

  

  

  

  

• Terrible tour

  Boring tour, no history or interesting facts about the area/homes...just who lived there the home price and square footage. Waste of money. Us couldn't even stop for a picture at the overlook.

• Fun, but few actual current celebrity homes

  We had the celebrity homes tour with Alan, and he was a fun guide. He had some charisma and was very knowledgeable about the area, and was funny too. We had no problem hearing him through the sound system has he drove around. In the two hours we covered quite a large area, Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills, Bel Air etc, and he spoke almost constantly - not many people could do that and stay interesting, but he managed it. My only reservation really is that we saw very few actual celebrity homes, in particular where they are currently dwelling. It was more of a pleasant drive through areas we mightn't otherwise see, with the occasional 'see that bit of house over there? Justin Bieber used to rent it'. It was much more fun as a general tour around and listening to fun commentary while letting someone else do all the work than it was any kind of 'wow, x lives there!' tour. Perhaps with other guides you'd get a different experience. One tip, the vehicles are often pictured as being open-topped but ours had a roof but was quite open to the elements and my boys got a bit chilly a couple of times even on a warm day. I'd recommend long sleeves at least.

  We took the 10 celebrity home tour and our guide Lee was very personable & knowledgeable. We saw homes to many different stars & got a lot of stories and information about the areas we drove through. Highly recommended

  This tour was fantastic! We live in Orange County and were taking the tour for my daughter's birthday (she loves Hollywood). Our tour guide was Ricky. He talked during the entire tour, sharing stories about the area and homes. The time went by so quickly! There was so much information shared by Ricky that I wish I would have taken notes!! I hope that he is available the next time we have visitors in town so that they can take his tour!
