• Tour couldn’t be better

  The four of us ended up with a private tour. To our surprised, he picked us up at the hotel directly across from the airport and asked if we had any special requests. We told him that the purpose of our visit was to see where our ancestors came from in the Kadushian part of Poland. He geared his history talk into the way into town toward that topic and places to visit that I hadn’t considered. We got a nice tour and the walk in the old town has beyond our expectation. He showed us pictures of the bombed out area so we could see what was original and what was built post war. Instead of being dropped off back at the airport, he agreed to drop us off at a restaurant and pass through the ghetto area—which I’m not sure was part of the tour. We were very pleased with the ghetto tour. But the restaurant he chose went far beyond our expectations. It was only a 70zl bolt ride back to the airport. We’ve traveled a lot and this tour gave us one of our best days ever.

  Booked this tour last minute as my husband and Dad had an unexpected overnight layover in Warsaw. They had a private 4 hour tour. The owner Marcin was responsive, passionate and knowledgeable. He was also the person who guided the tour. His passion to share the history of Warsaw was apparent. He was very enthusiastic about sharing his stories and experiences. The van, which is a retro communist era van, when rented can actually accommodate 8 but it was just for 2 people. Highly recommend!

  My guide had an abundance of historical information and knowledge, which was a bonus to an already exciting tour of Warsaw's Old Town, WW2 and communist historical sights. The retro vehicle was unique and added fun to the day!

  Lukas was a considerate and knowledgeable tour guide. He has a real gift for bringing the history of Warsaw to life. As we rode around in the bus, many people stopped to wave at us and it made for a friendly tour.

  Mario was super knowledgeable about Warsaw and we had a very lovely time exploring the town on our layover. He’s easy to talk to, and very accommodating. He helped us find a delicious authentic and affordable Polish restaurant to snack at as well! He is humble and smart, definitely book with Mario!

  Lucas was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. Not only was he able to fit into our short schedule but also he was able to show us very interesting places with a great amount of information. Very caring, respectful and professional tour guide. Job well done!!!!!

  It was the third time we chose Warsaw Behind the Scenes to guide our large group of young students from Portugal through the city (50 person this year!). Every year it is a wonderful experience! Students are having lot of fun in the classic van “cucumber” while sightseeing, learning about communist regime and eating traditional doughnuts. The organisation is very professional, our tour is tailored exactly to our needs and the guide is outstanding. We appreciate punctuality, smooth organisation and nice people we are working with. We recommend Warsaw Behind Scenes for the exceptional ideas of Warsaw visits which are so different from traditional tourist’s tours.

  It was a really unique and nice experience. We arrived in a cloudy and cold day and couldn't have enjoyed our first day if it wasn't for the activity and the great histories Mark explains. You get perfectly Warsaw’s history and development over the years. Totally worth it!! Thank’s Mark!! Marisa
