Plitvicka Jezera

5.00Plitvice is absolutely gorgeous. It is quite busy there and you are doing the tour with many people. If you want to have more freedom to stop and explore it would be good to go on your own or have a private tour. I liked that I didn’t have to map anything. The tour guide got us throughout the lower lakes and onto the boat ride. He was very knowledgeable. And we had breaks along the way.

3.00Said secured tickets for park entry but the operator had not purchased in advance. We purchased on our own. We went for this option thinking the tickets for park entry were secured and they weren’t. We drove over three hours from Split to do the tour which would have been a waste of the tickets to the park had sold out for the day

5.00Very pretty park. Worth doing with a guide as you learn more about the place. Sadly for us it threw it down with rain the whole time we were there but that still didn’t take anything away from the beauty of the place.
