• Perfect Day on the Water — Highlight of Our St. John Trip

  From start to finish, our private boat day was absolutely incredible. Booking was smooth, communication was prompt, and every detail was thoughtfully handled. Our captain, JW and mate, Chloe were professional, friendly, and so knowledgeable about St. John’s waters. We felt safe the entire time and completely spoiled. The boat itself was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with shade, floats, snorkel gear, towels, and a great sound system. We appreciated the cooler stocked with ice and drinks. Highlights included exploring vibrant reefs and a calm swim turquoise shallows. JW customized the itinerary based on our wish list and the day’s conditions, timing each stop perfectly to avoid crowds. We even discovered a tucked-away beach we’d never have found on our own. Lunch at Lovango was delicious and easy—docked right up and were back on the water in no time. Throughout the day, the crew shared local history, pointed out wildlife, snapped family photos for us, and kept the vibe relaxed and fun.

  Caption and crew were amazing! Helpful and give us history as we boated along the islands. Snorkeling was also great. It was a good afternoon!

  If you have young children, you need to be responsible for them in the water. The crew does not monitor the swimmers.

  We booked this 50’ catamaran excursion for our family of 11 to celebrate our parents’ wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, we arrived at the pier only to find out that the catamaran was not available. We only noticed this when the captain walked us to a speedboat and told us to jump in. Imagine our surprise. Seas the Day said that they notified us through a Viator message the day before, but we were on a cruise with limited internet access and had specifically communicated that to them. When they texted us that evening regarding waivers, no mention was made that the catamaran had been replaced. The staff later admitted they had only sent a Viator message and could not provide evidence that a text had been sent. The complimentary drinks did very little to offset the additional expenses and inconvenience we incurred. In addition to the transportation costs to the port, we incurred several other unexpected expenses, including ferry and taxi fares as we attempted to regroup and salvage the day. By the end, our out-of-pocket costs approached $1,000, making the refund far less meaningful than it may appear. Most disappointing was seeing our children, ages 3, 8, and 10, miss out on the excursion they had been looking forward to most. Mechanical issues happen, but better communication and transparency would have made a significant difference and would have allowed us to make informed decisions before spending hundreds of dollars traveling to the port. Strongly do not recommend using Seas the Day.

  Incredible trip! We booked a multi-generational half day journey onboard her and it was just perfect. Captain Alex and Lindsey were absolutely incredible. They took great care of my older parents and teenage children. Excellent communication, easy to work with and super easy going. We had 7 people--if you do the math, this is the same price (or cheaper) than booking an overpriced ship excursion. Just note--the taxi ride to the marina is tough. Be prepared for a crazy journey (obviously not Alex or Lindsey's faulty). Overall, just a fantastic day!

  Booked weeks in advance. The boat had mechanical issues, however the company waited till 9pm the night before our sail to inform us it was cancelled. There was no time to book an alternative option. Even though they refunded us without issues, we were really looking forward to this adventure. I requested they find us alternatives but the first would have required us to cross the island with less than an hour notice and cost about $500 in round trip taxi rides for our group of 10 and the second was a boat about half the size and with a small craft advisory we didn’t real safe. Things happen but communicating a cancellation at 9 pm the night before is unacceptable in my opinion!
