  I wasn’t quite sure what to expect walking into the Red Lantern, but I left thoroughly impressed. The show strikes a rare balance between entertainment and education, bringing Ketchikan’s colorful history to life through live music, storytelling, comedy, and incredibly talented performers. The intimate speakeasy atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, and the cast’s passion for both the performance and local history shines through from start to finish. The live band was fantastic, the costumes were beautiful, and the entire production felt polished while still maintaining a uniquely local charm. Whether you’re a visitor looking for something beyond the typical cruise excursion or a local wanting to experience a different side of Ketchikan’s history, this show is absolutely worth your time. One of the most unique and memorable entertainment experiences I’ve had in Southeast Alaska. Highly recommended.

  The Red Lantern's summer burlesque experience, "Whispers of Ketchikan," was the best (and most titillating!) history tour I've been on yet. The live band set the mood and the show's Emcee took us on a whirlwind ride through Ketchikan's prohibition history and the community's legends throughout the years; the performers were talented, funny, hot, and some even performed their own (skilled) live vocals during their numbers. The cocktails were strong and tasty and the venue itself was gorgeous... after walking up the stairs, it felt like I'd been transported to a secret second-floor speakeasy with velvet cushions and crystal chandeliers. Ambiance on point. On the way out, I stopped at their boutique. They had a wide variety of toys and even lingerie for all bodies, flirty accessories and games, a great pregnancy/maternity selection, as well as books, jewelry, stickers, and bath/body goodies.   It was a great time! We learned a lot about the history of Ketchikan. The acting, singing ,costume and stage design was very nice. Well done and it was a very enjoyable show. Very nice and welcoming staff and people working at the show. A nice change to most of the cruise ship activities that are offered

  Great show! Mr. Beurre Blanc and the ladies were a master class in class acts. Very informative, very personable, and a great way to end the honeymoon! The history of Ketchikan was skillfully woven into a fun, and at times risqué, show. My standing ovation goes out to the entire cast, crew, band, and supporting waitresses/bartenders.

  This was one of the most enjoyable cruise excursions I've ever been on. We started by meeting the owner (Ms. Jillian) of this boutique at the dock for our cruise. We only walked 2 blocks to the "speakeasy". We were treated to a private bar, seating, and staff catering to our every need. They even exchanged large USD for smaller bills. Each and EVERY concern was cared for. The show was FABULOUS! I am so impressed by the three piece band, in particular. Their bassist, Sarah, is truly talented. Lastly, the burlesque experience was second to none. It was the prefect intersection of sensuality and respect. The actresses were absolutely amazing in their roles. As someone who has never seen a burlesque show before, I thoroughly enjoyed the respectful atmosphere of this particular show. I whole heartedly recommend this show!
