• Missed Activity Due to Poor Details

  Seemed like a fun activity to do with friends while we were visiting in Norfolk. Activity is titled as "self-guided" so we had thought we'd be able to do it on our own. Had something come up the day we had "scheduled" it and thought it was fine and could do it the following day. Got an email the next morning telling me to review our experience. The wording on the website didn't say anything regarding the details of the scavenger hunt; if we were supposed to meet someone, just start it on our own, etc. There was a clear lack of direct instructions regarding when and how to start the activity. If buying this experience, please make sure you have the time and date of the activity reserved so you don't miss it like we did.

  It was unfortunate that we spent an hour trying to get into access the scavenger hunt and were unsuccessful even after several long phone calls. We were unable to participate in the scavenger hunt and were very disappointed in Viator’s customer service and unwillingness to offer a refund for our wasted time. We were excited to take part in the scavenger hunt but it only ended with frustration and disappointment. Definitely would not recommend purchasing tickets through viator.

  I was a little confused on the instructions until I downloaded the app. Which helped but we kept going in circles trying to get to each check in location. It will definitely take longer than 2 hours to complete, unless you are completely familiar with the area. It was fun though. A large group would make it a lot more interesting and enjoyable.

  Almost anything can be fun if you approach it in the right spirit. The challenges were lame, and my group didn't like that we had to keep taking pictures, but we saw some sights we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. It was a pretty good way to spend a couple of hours

  Walking and seeing the city. Bring lots of water to drink with you. Felt safe and comfortable while walking around

  For some reason I thought that this excursion included entry to the USS Wisconsin. I googled USS Wisconsin and Viator was the only thing that came up. I bought 4 tickets for me my husband and another couple who are 65 years old. When we went there they told us my tickets were not for the ship. I called Let's Roam and the lady said it was only for the scavenger hunt. We ended up just going to the ship and buying tickets there. We didn't even do the scavenger hunt because we couldn't figure out how to get it on our phones. I felt like the website was misleading.

  Very disappointing!!! My intentions were to take your of the Wisconsin Battle Ship but somehow purchased tickets for the scavenger hunt. Description was not clear enough in my opinion.

  The trip through NORFOLK took about 2 hours. There were 5 of us, including a grandmother, adult, and 3 children ages 10-14. We had a great time and learned a lot about our city that we didn’t previously know. Well worth it and a lot of fun.
