  A wonderful way to find out more about the cuisine of Chengdu. Jerry was warm, friendly and informative. We loved the trip to the market, seeing all the fresh produce and then were able to cook our own dinners under the guidance of the Chilli Cool team . Highly recommend as one of our best experiences.

  Had an absolute blast with the cooking class. Lance picked me up on time and we went to the market. Cooking class was well prepared. Made mapu tofu, stir fried cabage and braised pork. Afterwards had lunch with Lance and had a propper laugh!! 5/5 would recommend

  I spent 10 days traveling around China and this was, by far, the best thing I did on the trip. I’ve done cooking classes in Japan, Italy, and a few other countries, and this was easily my favourite. Lance and team were amazing from start to finish. Everyone was welcoming, patient, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great time. The whole experience felt very easy and relaxed, especially as an English speaker. There was never a moment where I felt lost or confused. We learned a lot, cooked some incredible food, and had a lot of fun along the way. What stood out most was the people. You can find cooking classes in a lot of places, but it’s rare to find hosts who put so much effort into making everyone feel comfortable and included. By the end it felt less like a class and more like spending time with friends who happen to be amazing cooks. If you’re coming to Chengdu, book this. When I look back on my trip to China, this is the experience I’ll remember most.

  A wonderful afternoon with Jerry including some insights into the way of life of Chengdu locals, a market walk through and then a cooking class. The class so professional and the dishes we made were delicious and customised to our dietary requirements. I would highly recommend this tour.

  A warmly reccomended tour and coking class! Lance was amazing, welcoming and fun, showing us around a local market and explained all the produce, from veg to meat and chinese medicine. The cooking part woth Miss Li was also amazing, and the food we made was delicious!

  Had an awesome time this afternoon at the cooking class. Lance was a great guide, taking us through the markets and sharing a bit of Sichuan culture with the group and being the perfect translator! Food was amazing, highly recommend!
