5.00We had an amazing experience with Overland, and our guide, Pat O’Mara, made the trip truly exceptional. The itinerary was excellent, but Pat went above and beyond by taking us to local favorite spots that weren’t on the schedule, making the experience feel authentic and unique. Pat was incredibly knowledgeable, positive, and funny. He personalized the tour for everyone in the group, making sure each person had a memorable experience. His recommendations for local restaurants were outstanding, and the hotels were comfortable and well chosen. Pat was always available to answer questions and followed up to make sure everything was going smoothly. The Overland office was also fantastic—responsive, helpful, and easy to reach throughout the trip. I highly recommend Overland, and if you have the chance to tour with Pat O’Mara, take it. He truly made an already great trip unforgettable.

5.00The Magical Southern Explorer Tour was outstanding. Our tour guide, Breda, was phenomenal. She was very informative and provided insights to not only the locations we were visiting, but also the overall Irish history, culture, economy and lifestyle. Breda was excellent at finding “hidden gems” for the group to explore and provided enough time and flexibility for the group to spend the right amount of time touring. I cannot say enough about our experience and would highly recommend Breda and Overland Ireland for a great tour in Ireland.

5.00Before the trip, communication from Overland Ireland was excellent and my questions were answered clearly and promptly. The tour exceeded my expectations. The places we visited were very well selected and the pace of the tour was perfect. The accommodation was good and always in an excellent location for browsing, shopping, pubs, and restaurants. Best of all was the superb guide/driver who took extra steps to ensure the group’s enjoyment and attend to individual needs.

5.00The tour guide/driver, Kat, was excellent. She was a careful driver, took the group to interesting scenic and historic spots, and was consistently informative and enthusiastic. She was also patient, polite, and friendly. The tour route allowed us to cover a good number of miles and scenery in a relatively short time. We really enjoyed the beautiful gardens at two or three of the sites, which were in full bloom, and all the baby lambs. We would recommend this tour and the tour guide.

Amazing Solo Adventure with a small group

5.00I traveled to Ireland, Solo, from 27 Aug - 2 Sep 2025. I don't think I wiped the smile from my face for six days! After traveling 24 hours to get to Dublin, I took a taxi from the Airport to the meeting place and meet the warmest, kindest man, Hugh, our tour guide. I was so excited and the adrenaline kept me going most of the day. My travel journal is filled, daily, with the history, facts and folklore Hugh shared with us along our journey. The coach we rode in was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space for our group of 11. EVERY accommodation we stayed in was amazing! EVERY host was spectacular, EVERY town we travelled through, and the people we met were happy to see us! I loved the intimate side of this tour, being in a small group. Each couple had done different research on what they were hoping to see and do. I loved the flexibility of seeing different sights. As we approached each new town, Hugh drove us through, pointing out great places to eat, drink, listen to music, local artisans, and places to purchase items we had mentioned earlier. Everyday was my favorite! My travel journal is full and took over 1,000 pictures! Every couple I was with was kind, welcoming and inclusive. I felt completely safe in every town being by myself, in every pub I went in and every restaurant I ate at. Locals were just as interested in me and my life as I was of them and their lives. AND I loved the weather and the rain...it was an amazing first visit to Ireland. On my last day, Hugh made sure to catch me on the bus before I headed back to Dublin - I was really touched by that, teared up a bit on the bus. Thank you to Hugh and my 10 other travel buddies for making this experience "magical" for me. Before my tour was over, I already made the determination that I would be back.
