  This charter went way beyond expectations and is the best charter outing I’ve ever been on. We were looking for something for the whole family, and this hit the mark with a little bit of everything, along with top notch service. Communication: Excellent communication from booking through the end of the trip. They kept me updated and gave us options leading up to our trip. Experience: Our family will never forget this experience. A week or two before the trip, they reached out to ask if we wanted to do lunch on the beach after snorkeling, or whale watching. Of course we went with whale watching, and more about that in a minute. We started the trip from Maeda Fishing Port, which is small and easy to get to. The captain and crew were excellent hosts from the time we arrived at the port. The ship was in excellent condition. It was very clean and tidy, and I personally liked it. The seas were fairly calm, but when we did encounter swells we barely noticed. This is a very nice larger ship with an inboard motor. There were only three of us (it’s a private charter so you’re booking the whole ship to yourself and your guests) but it could have easily accommodated six or more guests. We started off troll fishing and immediately started catching bonito and tuna. After a bit they stopped and had us fish off the side of the boat with poles. That was a blast! After that, more trolling. The crew was always asking us what we’d prefer, and that was nice. They wanted to make sure we were having fun and were wiling to change it up if we wanted to. Next was supposed to be snorkeling, but since the fishing took us close to where the recent whale sittings had been, we decided to go whale-watching first. The crew was able to spot and get close to one humpback whale at first, but then found a group of three whales breaching. We watched them breach several times before heading off to snorkel. **Keep in mind humpbacks can only be spotted from January to March in the waters around Okinawa, so if you’re coming outside those months don’t expect this part of the experience.*** Next was snorkeling. We snorkeled around Minna island, closer to the Okinawa coast. Minna island has an amazing reef and it was a surreal experience. The water was extremely clear, and we were able to see numerous types of fish, including a Lionfish. The guide was with us in the water the entire time, finding and pointing out the most interesting things. The guide had a Go-Pro and made pictures and videos of our whole experience and transferred them all to us before we even got off the boat, no extra charge! This was one of the best surprises about the trip. I can’t express how great this trip was, and how amazing the guide, captain, and crew were. I would do this again in a heartbeat!
