• The Best Tour in Madeira

  The full day central tour was the first tour that we did with Miguel and it was amazing. Picked up from our hotel and taken in an open top 4x4 up some of the steepest hills and seeing the most spectacular views. This tour is perfect if you don't know where to start with Madeira and want to see a few things in one day. We were able to tick of quite a few places we have wanted to visit as well as lots of extras. It is planned perfectly and with care! Miguel takes you to places that other people don't get access to and shows you the real Madeira. We were taken around farms and shown all the different fruits that they grow. Miguel is very knowledgeable and makes the tour really interesting. Miguel takes you to a local bar where you can try freshly made poncha (which is very strong!) and also takes you to a beautiful restaurant where you can have traditional espetada. Miguel also plans a short Levada walk where you can go off in your group and follow the water. The tour is very varied and each place you stop at offers you a completely different view and experience.   This full-day tour with Miguel was worth it again. Great viewpoints, a lot of explanations about climate and agriculture, and the culture of Madeira. Partially fascinating off-road routes.

  Miguel was very responsive to all our questions and very knowledgeable. It was our first visit Madeira so we didn’t know what to expect. We travelled as 2 couples and our tour to the Northeast side of Madeira was tailor made for our needs. Fun, exciting, friendly, and a delicious regional lunch.   Fabulous day out with Miguel in the UMM , loved going to places that weren’t full of tourists. Felt very safe and well looked after at all times. Miguel was very knowledgeable and advised us on the best tour for the day given the weather and it was perfect. We did see the real Maderia. And we loved the stops for Poncha 🥰🥰.   Unfortunately we weren’t able to do the Wild West Tour due to the weather. We appreciated very much that Miguel explained us the weather situation and suggested to change to the different tour. And we learned a lot about Madeira and its people and how they live. We had a lot of fun with Miguel driving through the countryside. The lunch place was delicious, so was the poncha break. And the landscape was beautiful. We will definitely do another tour when we come back. Anyways, we still need to do the original one🙃

  Having spent a week in Funchal one of the highlights of our trip was an open top jeep tour hosted by Miquel. He picked us up at our apartment and headed for the hills of Madeira. We had the experience to walk some of the levados, noting all the amazing fruits growing along the hillsides, taken to a bar where we witnessed the making of the local drink ‘Poncha’, which was delicious, ate at a great restaurant serving typical food of Madeira whilst looking over an amazing valley. Miguel was a great host in that he took us off the main tourist routes to experience a very authentic Madeira whilst keeping us up to speed with our surroundings and it’s history. We had an amazing day and would highly recommend Miguel as a tour guide and hopefully will return again and visit another part of Madeira. Thanks Miguel for sharing your time and knowledge with us

  Best way to see, to feel, to taste and to smell real Madeira - with Miguel. We with Miguel traveled around the island 2 days (we booked 2 tours), it definitely didn`t disappoint, we visited places we hadn`t read about in any tourist guides or seen on YouTube. Although we saw a lot, walked along the levadas, where we passed two lost and unable to find way tourists and one rabbit (we didn't meet anyone else), there was no rush. And our daughter (she's 7 years old) the most liked riding the jeep standing up :) Pats geriausias būdas pamatyti, pajausti, paragauti ir net pauostyti tikrąją Madeirą - kartu su Migeliu. Mes su Migeliu kartu važinėjome po salą dvi dienas (užsisakėme 2 turus), tikrai nenuvylė, aplankėme tokias vietas apie kurias neskaitėme jokiuose turistiniuose giduose arba nematėme youtub`o video. Nors pamatėme tikrai daug, pavaikščiojome po levadas, kuriose prasilenkėme su dviem pasimetusiais ir kelio nerandančiais turistais ir vienu triušiu (daugiau nieko nesutikome), nebuvo jokio skubėjimo, lėkimo, bėgimo. O mūsų dukrai (jai 7 metai) labiausiai patiko važiuoti džipu atsistojus :)

  We had an amazing time on our jeep tour through central Madeira with Miguel! From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. Miguel has a real passion for the island, and it showed in the way he shared stories, history, and local insights throughout the journey. He took us to stunning viewpoints and hidden spots we never would have found on our own. The ride itself was fun and adventurous, but always felt safe thanks to his skill behind the wheel.   As a family of four with two children of 4 and 7 we took the Central tour. We would recommend everyone visiting the island to book a jeep tour with Miguel because we believe it is a whole other, authentic, experience than other jeep tours. Miguel really knows the island and where to go for good food and good views. He also has a lot of information about the culture and agriculture of the island.
