• Superb travel experience with chauffeur

  We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our 12-day trip across Sri Lanka, and a huge part of that credit goes to our chauffeur(Wassu). He was incredibly patient, professional, and always accommodating—no matter the time of day or how many requests we had. From early mornings to late nights, he made sure we were comfortable and never once made us feel rushed. His calm driving, local knowledge, and friendly nature made every journey enjoyable and stress-free. He went out of his way to adjust plans, suggest great spots, and ensure we had the best possible experience throughout the trip. Overall, it was a smooth, memorable, and truly enjoyable journey thanks to him. We couldn’t have asked for a better chauffeur and would highly recommend him & Overa tours to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka.♥️The overall cost was good. Thanks to the back office support from Theekshana and Ruwan as well.🙂

  To be honest, we are extremely dissatisfied with our experience with Overa, primarily due to the conduct of your driver, Mr. Indika. His behavior throughout our trip was highly unprofessional, insensitive, and unacceptable. Below are the key issues we faced: 1. Inappropriate personal comments Mr. Indika repeatedly commented on our personal choices, such as drinking and smoking. Such remarks were intrusive and completely uncalled for, especially from a service provider. 2. Disrespectful and offensive remarks He made insensitive statements implying that Sri Lanka is suffering because of India and Indians. This was deeply inappropriate, particularly since we are Indian guests who had hired and paid for his services. Additionally, he frequently criticized the hotels we had booked, calling them “not famous,” only to become quiet after actually seeing the properties. 3. Forcing his own recommendations and rude behavior He consistently tried to take us only to places he recommended, which appeared to be commission-based locations. When we firmly followed our own itinerary, his attitude changed noticeably. In the last few days of the trip, his behavior became outright rude and dismissive. 4. New Year’s Eve incident – lack of concern for guest safety and service commitment On New Year’s Eve, we requested to visit Galle Face, but Mr. Indika strongly resisted and attempted to drop us at World Trade Centre, stating that his vehicle might get damaged. There was no consideration for our safety or convenience. After much argument, he finally dropped us 300–400 meters away from Galle Face, but throughout this time he continuously kept saying things like “Now what will I do?” and “I cannot go on any road.” This was extremely confusing and stressful for us, especially when traffic was moving and there were several four-wheelers on the road. We understand that New Year’s Eve involves heavy crowds and traffic. However, at no point did we ask him to rush or drop us hastily. His constant complaints and unwillingness made us uncomfortable and eventually forced us to leave without proper guidance. As foreigners in an unfamiliar city, we were left completely clueless about where to go and had to approach multiple police officers just to find a safe place to sit and spend the evening. This is not the experience one expects after booking a private driver service. Even after midnight, when we called him to pick us up, his response was again dismissive: “I can’t do anything, I told you this would happen.” This raises a serious question—what was he expecting us to do on New Year’s Eve? Celebrate in our hotel room? If so, why did we pay USD 410 for services booked from 26th December to 1st January? 5. Attempt to end service early Despite being fully paid for the entire duration, Mr. Indika repeatedly tried to end the trip early and even attempted—through the Olinia Airport Hotel manager—to convince us to use an airport shuttle instead of calling him. I read the company reviews on Trip advisor and hired them for our trip.. I guess it was a terrible mistake. Based on this experience, we strongly doubt that we will recommend Overa to anyone.

  So I visited Sri Lanka with my Mother. We had an excellent experience with Overa Tours during our Sri Lanka trip. Our tour guide and driver Indika was extremely professional and reliable throughout the journey. Despite the challenging weather conditions and multiple road closures, he ensured our safety at every step. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and even though a few spots were unreachable due to the weather, the team made sure we visited other equally lovely places that weren’t originally in our itinerary. A big thank you to Mr. Nazz, our trip coordinator, who handled everything with so much attention and enthusiasm. He quickly reworked our entire itinerary when the northern region was affected by floods and suggested we head south instead and that turned out to be the best decision. Truly appreciate his proactive approach and constant support. Cant thank him enough, he is very soft spoken and was always available throughout our trip. Thank you for making this mother daughter trip so safe and well coordinated. Also want to acknowledge Mr. Kamal and Mr. Theekshana, who stayed attentive and helpful during all our calls, as well as Ruwan, the sales manager, who was always quick to respond. Overall, the team went above and beyond to make sure our trip remained safe, comfortable and memorable despite the circumstances.   The over tours manager and my driver Sumith is beyond expectation. sumith anna was really caring and took care of 5 girls in my team as own family and showed us a beautiful sri lanka. Its a 7 days 6 night trip, beautifully crafted. This is highly recommended and im sure you wont regret!!!

  Assanga was very good with his servy, he was very patient, and guided us well through galle as well as. Colombo, and other areas we visited We had a baby with us, he was patient with us , and always served us with a smile. Naz was our point of contact as well, he was very very responsive, and helped us wherever needed.

  Overa is an excellent tour organisers. They provided us with vehicle till back trip to mumbai.Vehicle was in excellent condition. Staff was very polite and considerate specially our driver was too good Knowledgeable for the places wherever we went. Always smiling.I had booked with Overa wen I was in India, no complaints.👍

  Mr. Dilshan was our driver, and we had a great and comfortable experience throughout the trip. He was very supportive and friendly, and even helped us communicate with locals in the local language when needed. We booked the car for 6 days for our customized itinerary, from airport pick-up to airport drop-off. Overall, we were very happy with the service and would definitely recommend it to others.
