  A 7-day romantic getaway to Zanzibar is an absolute dream for us. From the moment we arrived, the island's charm captivated us. We spent our days relaxing on pristine white-sand beaches, with the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean inviting us for a refreshing swim or snorkel. Evenings were magical, filled with breathtaking sunsets over the ocean, often enjoyed with a refreshing cocktail. We indulged in delicious local seafood, explored the fascinating history of Stone Town's narrow alleys, and even took a spice tour, immersing ourselves in the island's rich culture. The serene atmosphere, combined with the stunning natural beauty and warm hospitality, made this trip truly unforgettable.   Our seven-day honeymoon in Zanzibar was a mixed bag, a delightful blend of stunning beauty and some frustrating logistical hiccups. The island itself is breathtaking. Picture postcard beaches with impossibly turquoise water, vibrant coral reefs teeming with life, and lush, green interiors, it truly lives up to the hype. Nungwi beach, where we stayed, was paradise. The powdery white sand, gentle waves, and unbelievably clear water were perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and simply relaxing. We spent hours each day just enjoying the tranquility. The coral reefs are vibrant and healthy. We saw an incredible array of fish and other marine life. A boat trip to a nearby reef was a highlight. Zanzibar boasts a delicious culinary scene, blending African, Indian, and Arab influences. We enjoyed fresh seafood, flavorful spices, and delicious fruits every day. Many restaurants offered stunning ocean views as well. The Zanzibari people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We felt safe and comfortable everywhere we went. While our hotel was beautiful, the service was inconsistent. Some staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive, while others seemed less engaged. The persistent beach vendors could be a bit overwhelming at times. While we understand they are trying to make a living, their constant solicitations disrupted our relaxation. Despite a few minor drawbacks, our Zanzibar honeymoon was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking beauty of the island, the incredible marine life, and the friendly locals far outweighed the minor inconveniences. We would highly recommend Zanzibar as a honeymoon destination, especially for couples seeking relaxation, adventure, and stunning natural beauty. Just be sure to book with Makala Travels.   For our 15th anniversary, we decided to take a belated honeymoon in Zanzibar, and it was the best decision we ever made! We booked through Makala Travels, and they were fantastic from start to finish. Our 7-day itinerary was perfectly balanced. We spent blissful days lounging on the pristine beaches, like Kendwa beach, Nungwi beach, and Nakupenda Sandbank, and explored the vibrant underwater world with a snorkeling trip they arranged. We also loved the spice farm tour and the historical charm of Stone Town. Makala Travels' attention to detail and excellent communication made the whole experience stress free and unforgettable.
