  I had the best week touring the North Island. No day was the same and there were always plenty of activities to choose from at every location. I was sceptical about group tours before I signed on with Wild Kiwi, yet I finished this week feeling like I had made a new family. Our tour guide Telli was delightful.. great guy 🙌 I would recommend Wild Kiwi tours as a good way to see the best of the north island 👍

  Having done the North and South islands back to back, this is definitely the better of the 2 Islands to visit if you're looking for a variety of activities to participate, the more prominent things to see and generally getting more bang for your buck. The sheer variety of things we got to see and do, with Telli (the host) allowing our group of 8 to get to everything on time and in a reasonably content state. Hobbiton was evidently the main draw for the group, as it was one of the only activities which the entire group (short of Telli) participated at once. • Absolute highlight – Northern Voyager with Wild Kiwi!

  The "Northern Voyager" week was the perfect start to our 3-week tour of New Zealand. We experienced the North Island really intensively – sometimes together as a group, sometimes individually with helpful activity sheets. My personal must-do: The Tongariro Alpine Crossing! Huge praise to our guide Tom. He was simply terrific, whether he advised us on the daily planning, managed breakfast or answered our thousand questions. The selection of activities is great, and if there was nothing suitable, there were always top hiking tips as an alternative. The hostels were absolutely fine. You share the rooms (about 4–8 beds) with the people in the group, which makes you grow together extremely quickly. The trip is also ideal for solo travellers to get to know the country in a relaxed way. I can definitely recommend Wild Kiwi (also the other tours!)!

  Brilliant trip, so well-organised with lots of activity choices catered to a wide variety of preferences/abilities. I liked having the option to choose something tough/exciting/adventurous like the Tongariro crossing (which was incredible!!) or something more laid-back/relaxing like the row-boat through the glow-worm caves or the hot pools. Overall an incredible experience! Would definitely recommend Wild Kiwi to a friend. Shout-out to Tom, our excellent tour-guide, great craic and a brilliant organiser.

  I was very grateful for my tour. Tom really was a tireless in his commitment to the group. He did all the driving without complaint, knew all the best places to visit for sightseeing and eating amongst other aspects of the trip. We got to see some amazing things, not least of all 'Hobbiton' with links for payment clearly provided. Activities were easy to pick with updates provided in a WhatsApp group chat. Would recommend Wild Kiwi tour for anyone visiting New Zealand. Thanks for an amazing experience

  I had a great time! I got to experience some awesome things and our tourguide was very sweet! It is so nice to have someone drive you around and tell you all about amazing NZ and the cool stuff to do here. I highly recommend Wild Kiwi!🥝

  I booked Wild Kiwi's 7 day Northern Voyager tour as my first solo trip, and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. The way Wild Kiwi works with organising in-country transport and accommodation took the stress out of everything; all I had to do was make my booking and turn up on the first day. The activities were all explained a few days ahead of time and I could opt in and out of any according to my own interests (and budget!). I met some awesome people on the tour. Our tour guide, Tom, was fantastic - he was incredibly personable, knowledgeable and welcoming. He was a wealth of information, telling us background about all the places we visited including the meaning of place names, and if we weren't doing certain activities, he had great alternatives to recommend. Tom kept us all on track and made sure each person was where they needed to be on-time. The North Island has so many beautiful sights - I had been nervous because everyone I know has only ever really talked about the South Island. I had an amazing time exploring the North and I would encourage anyone considering the tour to go ahead. I am already planning to return to do the South Island with Wild Kiwi as soon as I can!

  If you’re unsure of booking Wild Kiwi, let me tell you it’s a must. So much to do and so much to see. Such a wide variety of activities to do. Even if you don’t want to do a listed activity, the towns you stop in are filled with other stuff too! Shout out to our guide, Tom, who absolutely made this a trip to remember! This truly was an experience you will never forget!

  The trip was great, many activities to choose from. All the people on the tour were great aswell. I can’t forget the guide Tom, a great lad, good driver, very informative. The only issue with Tom is that he didn’t go skinny dipping 😢
