  If you are looking for an off the beaten path experience, this is for you. I was looking for something to do while my friend was having dialysis, and I stumbled upon this botanical adventure. I have dabbled with herbs and aromatherapy before, and this seemed right up my alley. Jake integrates his indigenous Brazilian roots with the native indigenous roots of New Mexico, to create a unique experience working with plants and the elements. I can only describe this experience as part therapy, part meditation, and part apothecary. Jake taught me about the pigñon tree and other botanicals native to New Mexico. The sap from the pigñon tree is so aromatic and unique in scent. I then made a personalized herbal sachet infused with intention, love, and spirit. Then I created my own pigñon oil using the pine rosin. You walk away with knowledge, instructions, and recipes. This was a wonderful experience, and Jake is a sweet soul. He is so passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with everyone.

  Yesterday, my husband and I had the privilege of attending a Sensory and Spiritual Plant Workshop in Santa Fe, and it was truly a beautiful and grounding experience. Jake, our guide, created a calm and welcoming space that allowed us to slow down and reconnect—with nature, with ourselves, and with each other. His knowledge of the piñon tree and its sacred properties was shared with such care and reverence that it transformed something simple into something deeply meaningful. We participated in a gentle ceremony with herbs, sipped warm piñon tea, and were introduced to the native plants of the region in a way that felt both educational and soulful. The meditations he guided us through were quiet, insightful, and left a lasting sense of clarity and peace. This experience wasn’t just a workshop—it felt like a pause, a breath, and a reminder of the subtle wisdom found in nature.   I cannot recommend this experience enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and at ease.   This beautiful, sensory and learning-filled workshop was transformative! It was a travel experience in the area that brought an incredible sense of peace and safety that deepened my personal relationship to the natural world. Jake is incredibly knowledgeable, sincere and deeply connected to his subject matter through an authentic and colorful early plant background. I came to connect with plants that were calling me! I so appreciate the amazing workshop plant take-away that were created in those moments. Thank you Jake!
