Jangchub Choeling Tibetan Monastery

5.00Thupten, our tour guide gave us a realistic experience of Tibetan culture & life. He is very knowledgeable & friendly. He has excellent command on Buddhism & its many spiritual facets. We were very impressed & thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The visit to the monastery was a wonderful highlight. Sewang , the Buddhist monk gave us an understanding of life in the monastery & becoming aware of our own spirituality. A lovely meal at one of the local Tibetan households completed this very lovely tour. A huge thanks to the whole team.

5.00We could listen to Thupten all day. He is a very warm and friendly man, who can convey a lot of knowledge and experiences about Tibet and about Buddhism in very good English. This tour is absolutely worth it, Thupten answers all your questions and lets you look at the places you visit in a different way. Thupten thank you! 🙏🏻
A Meaningful and Insightful Buddhist Experience

5.00This wasn’t your typical tour. I had the chance to talk with a Buddhist monk, and our deep conversation made me want to study Buddhism. Thupten is a great storyteller—he shared the Tibetan way of life so vividly that I could imagine everything clearly, like a teacher narrating a story to grade-school pupils. Highly recommended!

5.00Thupten was such an amazing guide. I did the half day tour and I learned so much about Tibetan Buddhism and the Tibetan people. The monasteries we visited were beautiful and to be able to talk with a Buddhist monk was so special. We were able to ask questions and I feel so grateful to have that time with him. I highly recommend this tour. Thupten's passion is so heartwarming.

5.00The tour was very educational. We visited two monasteries and a local family home in a nearby Tibetan settlement. The tour included talks with a local monk and you can ask any questions you have about life in a monastery. Afterwards, we visited another monastery to view the chanting and then a local home to try some staple Tibetan foods. I had a very interesting and eye-opening conversation with Thupten. He has a lot of passion for his culture. He is very knowledgeable about Tibetan culture and history and makes great conversation. Very good for curious and inquisitive travelers! This tour was an amazing opportunity to widen perspectives and learn about different cultures.
A must do tour if you visit Pokhara

5.00I want to echo the various positive reviews of this fascinating tour. Thupten's enthusiasm to tell his story and the story of his family and friends is hugely entertaining and yet also emotional. He provides such a rich insight into their story. A unique experience that is a must for anyone visiting Pokhara.
