A Must Do on Day 1 in Almaty

5.00Rosa was kind and certainly very well informed about Almaty history and culture. The tour was enlightening and decently paced. Although we did it on day 3, I would recommend doing this on day 1 to be better informed about the city and plan the rest of the stay.

5.00A three-hour walking tour of the city's highlights with efficiency. I was able to hear interesting explanations from the guides not only in the main place, but here and there. The guide was amazed by his knowledge of everything from history to current events. Because I am Japanese, he introduced me to episodes related to Japan.

5.00A great overview of Almaty, hitting the highlights in the short amount of time I had. Rosa gave me some great historical background. We were lucky and heard a special choir from Russia at the Asuncion cathedral. She even made it possible to ride the gondolas in the afternoon after out tour.

5.00Lovely walking tour! Roza was very helpful and her information was interesting. We had already seen the Green Bazaar so she took us to a different final location, a Greek orthodox church with a discovered secret cave area used during Soviet times.
