We had a super great morning with Tim and his lovely wife. A very valuable experience on many levels – very different from the usual city tours or boat tours. Here you learn something for life that is at the same time so closely connected to this special area of Andalusia. All of our four children were there with joy in the process of building their own home and fascinated by everything we learned there – in theory and practice. They usually have very different interests, but were all so enthusiastic about the possibilities and atmosphere in the workshop. Tim picked everyone up perfectly here and accompanied us all authentically and mindfully from start to finish. His enthusiasm for this extraordinary plant, music and sustainability and what he has made of it as a total work of art over the past three decades have skipped from the start. Although the workshop was a surprise for my wife and the children, everyone wanted to continue for much longer. The three hours flew by, and we wanted to get straight on with the next project. The first question after the end of the workshop was, "When are we coming back?".

A fantastic experience. Tim is a wonderful teacher and so knowledgeable. It was so lovely to hear his story and all about his craft. I would 100% recommend. My son, aged 11, had the best time. It's also not just a one-off experience; we will definitely return to make other beautiful pieces.

Fantastic experience, great time creating jewellery box, and music instruments. We all enjoyed it and Tim was fantastic explaining the history of the wood and showing us what we needed to do

Wow!!! What a wonderful morning we spent in Sorbas with Tim and Silvana After a lovely warm welcome Tim spent time talking us through the multiple uses of this fascinating plant, the agave, of which every element, from root to tip, can be used. He spoke with an absolute passion and commitment to the value and preservation of it, answering our many questions with his evident expertise. We were going to be using the stem of the flower spike of the agave and were in a room surrounded by an impressive array of musical instruments Tim had crafted with this plant; music being another passion We were soon shown options of what would be manageable to make within the timeframe of the workshop and quickly got to work. My husband and I had little experience of woodwork but were guided gently and positively through the experience, with what is a really lovely product to work with; the inside feeling like something akin to balsa wood encased in a hard veneer. The workshop was filled with a vast array of machinery and tools, of which we used many. The time flew by as we were subject to an almost meditative level of absorption; I could have stayed all day. We were really pleased and surprised with what we had managed to produce with Tim and Silvana’s patient and gentle guidance, a jewellery box and a bird whistle. I would highly recommend this wonderful and wholesome experience. We learnt a lot as well as producing something impressive with our own hands. All of this amongst lovely people and set within a backdrop of the beautiful and rugged spanish countryside. What a treat and great for all levels of experience.

Wow… the experience was excellent. Although this was my first time working with wood, my husband who also attended the workshop has much more experience and Timbe (the teacher) is a very well traveled and experienced teacher who held space perfectly for the different levels of experience between us and the other two people in the workshop. He is very knowledgeable about the wood, sustainability and woodworking in general. I was further impressed by his ability to seamlessly switch between all of the participants and sense how much help each of us needed at any point. Timbe has a great knack for ‘seeing’ the potential of each bit of wood, much like Leonardo Da Vinci would find the figure within the marble, Timbe, extracts the artefact from the wood, and guides you to do the same. It’s exciting to be able to choose what you would like to create within the allotted time. And… although woodworking can be dangerous, we were guided through safety measures at each stage. Plus.. high quality photos are taken throughout the process (with your permission) and shared with you after the event. It’s very satisfying to create something with your own hands, it gives you a profound understanding of what goes into each hand made item and it’s a real bonus to have your very own souvenir to keep at the end. Silvana and Timbe look after you throughout the 3hr workshop process. They genuinely enjoy interacting with different students from around the world. A superb experience that I am happy to recommend.

One pass. From the first moment we walked through the door we were treated like old friends. Entering his workshop and exhibition was like entering a world full of magic. After an explanation of the life cycle of the pita/ al gave, he presented some of his works. Too bad I didn’t have my phone ready to capture the expression of our youngest of 11 years when listening to the sound of the flute. Silvana and Timbe captured in a very unique way last morning with them, taking pictures. I'm attaching some. Entering the workshop gave us several options of what we could do and hands on! They explained and taught us how to handle the tools and always aware of our needs, doubts and questions. A pleasure to be able to do something with our own hands, together and in the family and also WITHOUT TECHNOLOGY. Let's repeat for sure and go back to grandparents. They took advantage of the drying time of our works to serve tea and juices and cookies. Quite a detail. I have many will go back and make a guitar!!!😜🤣😀

We went 6 adults and 3 children, including a 3 year old, to the 3 hour workshop and we all enjoyed very much. Silvana and Tim are welcoming and endearing, and share their knowledge without restriction. We'll repeat for sure. Thank you so much!!!!

Tim is a multifaceted Pro: photographer, cabinetmaker and great storyteller. The workshop has been an enriching and fun experience, plus it taught us many interesting things. Highly recommended!
