• Misleading booking information

  We felt misled by this tour. After payment it becomes clear this is an outside perimeter tour only. So NO access to the musueum and inside parts of Auschwitz. You only get to experience everything from outside the gates. This would be fine if it was made clear BEFORE booking, but the booking information makes it misleading on purpose! So be aware of what you book. Thankfully our guide John was very knowledgable and he provided us with good information, so all credits to him. He still made this trip worth the visit if you have no other options. Our poor rating reflects the booking process and the misleading information provided. The guide himself was great! Thank you John!

  Wonderful experience with an amazing guide Damian👍👏🫶🏻 The tour was fantastic, it was very informative and very enjoyable I highly recommend it. The guide Damian is a highly and friendly person who explains with passion the history and the main reason why we reached the event.

  Ticket said 8 hour and aushwits - birkenau museum or historical tour from karkow. We only toured the outside of aushwits camp.I traveled from America to see this tour,only thing good was toured our guide norbert.

  My partner and l booked this tour as part of our trip to Krakow. Communication from company was great and we were given boarding instructions 24 hours before joining. Bus was clean and comfy and John and Simon (driver) were very friendly. It took about 90 minutes to get to auschwitz and tour round both camps took about 4 hours. My only complaint is that there were too many groups visiting at the same time and we couldn't always hear our guide at birkenau. It was a very sombre and thought provoking visit, which made me think about how lucky l am.

  That Damian the guide has done very well but that it must be very clear before the payment. NO ACCESS TO AUSWITZ I, II OR III. Just driving around and giving an explanation.

• Auschwitz Without Auschwitz: Full Price for a Perimeter Tour

  I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to leave one because the experience I received was fundamentally different from what I booked. Several days before our scheduled Auschwitz-Birkenau tour, I received an email stating that the tour had been changed because there were “no guides available” at the museum. As a result, the tour was converted to a perimeter-only experience with no entry into the museum buildings. To be fair, the guide who conducted the tour was friendly, professional, and clearly doing the best they could. This review is not about the guide. My issue is with the product that was delivered versus the product that was sold. Despite losing access to the museum buildings, exhibits, prisoner blocks, artifacts, photographs, and much of the educational experience, the price did not meaningfully change. We paid full price for what was ultimately a dramatically reduced experience. What stood out immediately was how aggressively the company focused on documenting that guests had been informed of the change. We were repeatedly asked if we understood that the tour was perimeter-only. Upon arrival, we were again asked to confirm our understanding. We were then directed to log into a portal and formally acknowledge the itinerary change. By the end, it felt like the company was more focused on protecting itself from refund requests than on addressing the fact that customers were no longer receiving the experience they purchased. What makes this more frustrating is that after receiving the email, I independently contacted the Auschwitz Museum and was told that guides were in fact operating during the period in question. I cannot independently verify what happened between the tour company and the museum, but the explanation I received from the tour operator did not align with the information I received from the museum. The perimeter tour itself was not worth the price charged. While some historically significant locations were visited, the emotional and educational core of Auschwitz was missing. You do not enter Auschwitz I. You do not see the exhibitions. You do not see the personal belongings, photographs, cells, or exhibits that give the site its historical weight and human significance. The result was an experience that felt incomplete and detached from what most visitors travel across the world to see. Compounding the issue was the group environment. Many participants treated the site as a social media backdrop, taking smiling selfies, posing for photos, and reaching over barriers and fences for better shots. While this is not the company’s fault, it further diminished what should have been a solemn and meaningful experience. I fully acknowledge that I chose to proceed after being informed of the itinerary change. That decision is on me. However, knowing what I know now, I would not purchase this perimeter-only tour again, and I do not believe it provides value comparable to the full Auschwitz-Birkenau experience that most travelers expect when booking. My recommendation is simple: if visiting Auschwitz is important to you, wait until you can secure confirmed museum entry, ideally through a private guide or directly through the museum. The perimeter version may provide some historical context, but it is not a substitute for the real experience.
