Ane-thing but Ordinary: Our Barcelona Highlight Reel!

5.00We got off a cruise in Barcelona and were flying out the next day, so we had one day to see as much of the city as possible, and this was the perfect trip for that. Mateus (Matt) picked us up at our hotel at 9am, which was super convenient for us. Matt took us all over Barcelona, showing us the Old City and its Roman roots, then to the top of the city by the Olympic village for stunning panoramic views. We then went to the unimaginable Sagrada Família and got an amazing history and architecture lesson from Matt, and then had some free time to eat lunch and explore the area. Matt then took us to the Park Güell for more stunning 360 views of the city (be sure to take the short hike to the top where the three crosses are). Then Matt took us back to our hotel. We got to see so much of the city in about an 7-hr span and would highly recommend this trip to others, whether you’re in Barcelona for one day or one week.

5.00This was absolutely the best tour we have ever taken. Even before the tour, our guide, Omid, was very communicative and kept us informed of expectations. He did an outstanding job of sharing great information with us during our walking tour through Old Town. He explained numerous sites we were seeing on our drive and visit to Montjuit. He reserved an excellent place for us to have lunch, El Golp! He made the extra effort to make sure we all had the audio tour downloaded from the Sagrada Família app before our tour of this beautiful church. He provided a wealth of information throughout the tour with photographs and shared many unusual and “off the beaten path” surprises about art and architecture. He went the extra effort to take individual photos of each of the tour participants in front of the Sagrada Família and even took a group photo which he texted to us immediately after the tour. Lastly, our visit to Park Guell was lovely and so well explained to all of us. Omid is the best tour guide we have ever had and we are very grateful for him making this so special for all of us. I would highly recommend Omid as a guide and this tour was exceptional! Thank you, Omid, for a great experience for us in beautiful Barcelona!
